Do you really not know how governments are influenced? I suppose if you are entirely naive and don't know about lobbying and how much is spent on it you could probably assume that MPs live in a little bubble somewhere and nobody influences them whatsoever. I have lobbied Parliament I have lobbied party conferences I know how it woks and how much money is spent influencing MPs and I would rather that influence came from a body who cared for ordinary people

By coming out of the EU, lots of workers' rights could be lost.
The ECHR ensures that we still have them, as does the ECJ.

That's why the Tories want us out of those two bodies.

Why has it been hijacked by posting about trade unions, lobbying parliament and criticizing the political acumen and reading ability of others? It's gone totally off topic and probably not what the OP intended.

I started this thread because that quote made me smile. I admit to being a bit mischievous too. But, I apologise to Annie for giving the bullies on here the chance to attack her.

I don't agree with Annie politically but recognise and respect that she has sincerely held views. She has the right to stay her views without the nastiness and insults she has been subjected to.

The way this thread has gone is a good reflection of the way Momentum appears to operate. No dissension is permitted and we all must think the same. Shame!

And Corbyn really wants us out if the EU so he can pursue a left wing agenda. But is trying to get the Tories out by attracting the remain vote. Particularly the young people.

Oh come on kitty please don't jump to the bully word so quickly. I don't care about anyone's views but I do object to the names and insults Annie had thrown at me for well over a year now. I have tried not to retaliate in kind and hope I have succeeded, but I will challenge Annie's views just as I would challenge anyone else's views if I disagree - isn't that the point of an online forum?

I don't know anything about the way that Momentum appears to operate, not being a member and never having read that much about them.
I have been called a member quite often by Annie and others, along with others who are not members.

I have sincerely held beliefs, too.

Some of us have been criticised by Annie and others for leaving the Labour party when Blair was in power and coming back when someone we thought was a better socialist was voted as leader of the party.
Annie says she has now left the Labour party because the socialist in charge is too socialist for her.
So she gets praised for her views, by right wingers on here, and we are called bullies for questioning her?
That doesn't seem fair to me.

kitty, no apology needed please, you cannot be held responsible for the posts of others, this bullying will continue as long as I keep criticising Corbyn .

It has become rampant through the Labour Party since Corbyn became leader.

What can be expected when the shadow chancellor stand on the stage in the O2 and calls the majority of fellow labour MP's - f*****g losers. This is the new politics Corbyn ptomised.

Has anyone demanded that you explain yourself for believing the way you do?
Has anyone demanded over and over again that you explain the reasons for your beliefs and opinions in an aggressive manner?
Has anyone suggested that you have reading and comprehnsion problems because you don't agree with someone?
Has anyone said to you "*It's a shame that you can't read*" even though they know that you're dyslexic?

This is why it's generally considered that your posts towards Anniebach are bullying and unacceptable. But you're so focused on "being right" and "having the last word" that you either don't see what you're doing, or you don't care what you're doing. But others do.

kittylester if you recognise and respect Annie's sincerely held views would you mind explaining them to me please. I have asked her to do so but she consistently refuses . I am completely lost because I don't know any other Labour supporters who insist on abusing an elected leader and don't like the unions or socialists. In fact I really don't understand her views at all.

I do not abuse Corbyn I criticise him.

I have never said I am against unions I have said iften I am against unions controlling the government.

I am not the only Labour Party member to criticise Corbyn, certaintly not on this forum , those that have were driven off politic threads.

Nobody has to explain anything to anyone, as it is none of anybody elses business! I have never come across so many nosy posters on any forum.

I don't think a government being influenced by ordinary working people would be as bad as one influenced by the rich and powerful, I wonder why you feel threatened by it.
Criticism requires a reasoned and understandable argument not just the re-posting of accusations and name calling, it would be good to see at least one from you.
But as your only way of dealing with me is to call me a communist, a Corbynista or a member of Momentum I won't hold my breath

There are many Labour MP's who 'abuse' the elected Leader, Corbyn is not universally popular you know.
I have read Anniebach's comments on the unions as have everybody else I should imagine and nowhere does she say anything bad about them, just that they shouldn't be running the Government.
What is the matter with people, that they interrogate,and try and do down others simply because they have different views.

If he ever got into power ( god forbid) That man and his cronies will contrive to finish private enterprise as we know it . With their "the employee is always right, even when they're wrong" attitude. They hate the idea of anyone being a "boss" ( unless it's of a union of course) a " business owner" and think we are all big fat greedy cats creaming in the profits, while keeping our overworked, underpaid employees under our thumbs . JC and Momentum are a party for the public sector and those industries run by massive unions . I voted labour all my life but could never vote for or support a LP run by that man.
