I have just spoken to my niece and she tells me that my sister has been awarded this benefit to help towards her daily care,my niece and nephew have always gone into my sisters home on a daily basis to help her as she has health problems and cannot manage on her own,DN has been offered 2 extra days work at The Passport Office on a permanant contract a offer she can't refuse so applied for the PIP so she and her brother can arrange a care package with a local company for the two days she can't manage to visit her mum,it has taken quite a while to wait for the Benefit to be approved but what DN was wanting to know is the Benefit back dated to when they first applied or will it just replace the previous DLA which her mum claimed prior to the change over (she got this at the lowest rate as DN had lots of free time then)
