I see the EU Remainers' PROJECT FEAR is alive and well.

I look forward to us leaving the EU.

The scare-mongering Remainers write post after post predicting how awful it will be. (Yes, predicting...)

Anyone would think we were incapable of knowing right from wrong and desperately in need of Brussels to guide us, to make our laws, to impose trading tariffs, generally control us, tell us who we have to accept into the country and take BILLIONS from us for the privilege of that control.

Project Fear - we have recognised it.

We need to get on with leaving the EU, pronto, but Remainers delight in the delays, mostly caused by terrified EU officials worried about EU budgets and the UK forging ahead without it's stranglehold.

Optimism rules. Let's bin Project Fear. We see it for what it is.

eazy grin I assume that is meant to be a joke?

Why is a different opinion a joke
confused

petra Wed 06-Dec-17 18:32:29

eazybee
Exactly.

Not sure about the English though, as some of them appear to be Welsh Apologies to any Welsh Grans on here!
But yes - they are Tidy!

My daughter is having some building work done by a Romanian. He is doing a brilliant job. Not only does he know his trade, he is also punctual, takes few breaks, cleans up at the end of the day and is polite and friendly. He speaks better English than many native builders I have come across.
That's excellent Greta!
May I say the same about our team of British plumbers - they are doing a brilliant job too, and have had to re-do some of the work that the Eastern European plumber bodged leaving us with a leak.
Not sure about the English though, as some of them appear to be Welsh. hmm

Arlene Foster= intolerant, sectarian, bigoted, implicated in fraudulent schemes, supporter of Protestant terrorists. Just the person.

eazybee Wed 06-Dec-17 18:14:38

Good.
What a waste of time, and money, impact assessments would be. Quite meaningless.

whitewave Wed 06-Dec-17 18:06:51

Twitter
Dave Alan Green.

So government is demanding that the EU move to the next stage on trade talks

But

There is no cabinet agreement about where they want these trade agreements to go
There are no impact assessments on a single economic sector
There is no agreement on the Irish border

The government is as prepared for stage 2 as they were for stage 1

It will be carnage.

whitewave Wed 06-Dec-17 17:56:31

Oh yes how democratic will that be. Even her own constituency voted by something like 63% to remain, as did the majority of NI.

Foster is at the best a hard nosed unionist who will take nothing else into consideration except what will be best for unionists, at worst someone who has committed fraud and alledgedly accused of gun running. Just the sort of person we need!

petra Wed 06-Dec-17 17:50:59

Foster has indicated that she wants a seat at the brexit negotiations
Bloody brilliant!! A woman with balls, doesn't pussy foot around when making a decision. None of this "oh, can I think about that" no, just tells it like it is. And the best of all, she voted to leave.

durhamjen Wed 06-Dec-17 17:46:31

Hammond has said that the cabinet has not discussed the Brexit outcome.

Why not? Maybe they are too frightened of it.

whitewave Wed 06-Dec-17 17:33:33

No of course it wasnt and I am sure everyone understood that

mostlyharmless Wed 06-Dec-17 17:29:07

Was it ever going to be paid as a lump sum? That's just how the right wing press presents it.

It's just payment until the end of the budgetary period (2020) and then ongoing beyond 2020 - to meet long term commitments including paying EU pensions (including Nigel Farage's pension!).

jura2 Wed 06-Dec-17 17:28:02

Who is responsible for Project Fear turning out to be reality. Those who 'projected fear' or those who turned those fears into a tragic reality?

Ilovecheese Wed 06-Dec-17 17:08:55

The article states it is using Central European Time, not American

whitewave Wed 06-Dec-17 17:08:36

Interesting - what are your thoughts on the article lemon

whitewave Wed 06-Dec-17 17:07:41

Or 6th December? But that is an American use of dates so unclear.

lemongrove Wed 06-Dec-17 17:07:41

Some use the month first, then the date, which is what has happened in this case.

jura2 Wed 06-Dec-17 17:06:02

Perhaps Trump wrote it ;) ! lol

Ilovecheese Wed 06-Dec-17 17:03:23

Doesn't 12/6/17 mean 12th June?

lemongrove Wed 06-Dec-17 16:57:55

The article is bang up to date ww ( todays date.)

whitewave Wed 06-Dec-17 16:44:54

I am afraid that article is too out of date and things have moved in rapidly since June.

whitewave Wed 06-Dec-17 16:43:22

Independent reporting that Britain is set to have the biggest fall in living standards for 60 years.

lemongrove Wed 06-Dec-17 16:42:27

Thanks Primrose smile sounds like a plan to work with doesn’t it?

whitewave Wed 06-Dec-17 16:39:55

Hammond has admitted what the Lords were saying this morning that the government has not had any discussion over the major issues on Brexit.

Difficult to believe isn’t it? Ot perhaps not.
