I see the EU Remainers' PROJECT FEAR is alive and well.

I look forward to us leaving the EU.

The scare-mongering Remainers write post after post predicting how awful it will be. (Yes, predicting...)

Anyone would think we were incapable of knowing right from wrong and desperately in need of Brussels to guide us, to make our laws, to impose trading tariffs, generally control us, tell us who we have to accept into the country and take BILLIONS from us for the privilege of that control.

Project Fear - we have recognised it.

We need to get on with leaving the EU, pronto, but Remainers delight in the delays, mostly caused by terrified EU officials worried about EU budgets and the UK forging ahead without it's stranglehold.

Optimism rules. Let's bin Project Fear. We see it for what it is.

For anyone interested, the detail of the draft agreement is here.

Here’s a thing

Foster has indicated that she wants a seat at the Brexit negotiations. Be easier just to hand it all over to the DUP wouldn’t it?

My daughter is having some building work done by a Romanian. He is doing a brilliant job. Not only does he know his trade, he is also punctual, takes few breaks, cleans up at the end of the day and is polite and friendly. He speaks better English than many native builders I have come across. My daughter says she feels ashamed.

I have friends who voted leave. When I explained to them that I was worried about my future in this country they were all surprised. ”We didn't realize Brexit would affect YOU.” Quite.

Like a very bad episode from the Office sad and the EU is watching this ...

Pinnochio and his glasses on and off - he just has not go a clue. But, much more importantly, he has put himself, and the whole Government for not denouncing his lies and being complicit - in contempt of our Sovereign Parliamentary Democracy - treason indeed.

humptydumpty Wed 06-Dec-17 13:24:59

I often think that myself, Gill - please let's hear a response from a Brexiteer!!!

GillT57 Wed 06-Dec-17 13:11:44

Surely Brexit supporters should be questioning just why the EU and their 'pesky meddling' will not permit importation of some foods from USA? Or are we to 'take back control' and eat all the toxic crap we import from USA? What we will eat with it is debatable too as the veg is likely to be rotting in the fields as there will not be the usual annual influx of young Eastern Europeans to pick and pack it. Do any of you Brexit supporters ever sit in front of your Eastern European GP or nurse and feel the slightest tinge of shame regret that you have voted for them to get out?

MaizieD Wed 06-Dec-17 13:01:43

er, Ww, because there are more than them than there are of us?

They have the bigger negotiating 'muscle'.

This has been my problem all along with the fantasy of the UK making wonderful trade deals post Brexit.

mcem Wed 06-Dec-17 13:00:14

Just a thought - let's say I accept that a %age of brexit voters are intelligent, well-informed people (and I do know one). Then I also would suggest that the rest are not intelligent, well-informed people. Given that the result was so close then it might be argued that it was this latter, less intelligent % age that tipped the balance. So it is indeed feasible to argue that the gullible voters are to blame for the present chaos.

With ref to the USA saying UK will have to lower food standards to trade with US - why won't they need to make theirs higher to trade with UK and EU?

GillT57 Wed 06-Dec-17 12:33:16

Anyone else remember Dallas when Bobby came out of the shower and the entire series had all been a bad dream? I keep hoping this will happen to me and I will come out of the shower and find that there is no Brexit, no Trump......off to have another hot shower......grin

He should be pushed, if he does NOT. In totaly contempt of our Parliamentary Democracy - if that is taking back control ?!? Lying toad.

mostlyharmless Wed 06-Dec-17 11:36:29

Absolutely. He looked like a silly schoolboy having fun by laughing, teasing and constantly changing his mind in the Commons last week.
Brexit not a serious issue???
He should resign.

Greta Wed 06-Dec-17 11:27:28

I must say I felt sorry for TM on Monday after her meeting with Juncker. She tried to say a few reassuring words but looked very uncomfortable. Not a strong negotiating stance at all. I think Juncker felt sorry for her as well. Has ”strong and stable” definitely been buried?
Also, whenever I see Davis discussing with EU leaders he comes across as very unconvincing. He has the look of some of my naughty schoolboys who would come to tell me they had actually done the homework but unfortunately left it at home.

GracesGranMK2 Wed 06-Dec-17 10:13:48

It looks as if he may be in contempt of Parliament. Privileged entitlement - that's all I see from the Tories, so lies don't matter to them.

whitewave Wed 06-Dec-17 10:11:43

Davis said that there will be no shortage of nurses! That despite 96% drop in nursing application.

suzied Wed 06-Dec-17 10:09:32

Just heard on the radio a clip of Davies blatantly lying in the select committee. Both Brexiteers and Remainers united in their criticism of his hopelessness for different reasons. It would be hilarious if it wasn’t so serious.

whitewave Wed 06-Dec-17 10:07:36

His is patronising and rude when he gets pinned down and has been shown up for the less than truthful statements he continually makes in the Commons.

jura2 Wed 06-Dec-17 09:58:27

ANGRY

jura2 Wed 06-Dec-17 09:58:14

Oh now I am REALLY angra- the lying incomptent toad- but of course Mrs May and all the others must have known all along that they did not exist either

(now many of us had guessed - project fear of course.

Day 6 of the Brexit calender

The US secretary of trade has said that we must lower our food standard regulations if we wish to trad3 with the US.

whitewave Wed 06-Dec-17 09:53:27

Official

LABOUR IS THE PARTY OF SOFT BREXIT

At last a note of recognising reality.

whitewave Wed 06-Dec-17 09:49:15

How can any government fudge such an enormous and major issue!?

whitewave Wed 06-Dec-17 09:44:19

He needs dismissal, I have never heard anything like it!

trisher Wed 06-Dec-17 09:29:46

He is. Trying to explain why there aren't any. It would be funny if it wasn't so bloody pathetic!
