I see the EU Remainers' PROJECT FEAR is alive and well.

But we already trade with Europe and the rest of the world; I just want a few facts and figures ie which countries, what will we trade, what will the terms be etc etc Oh, of course, you can't tell me that because it hasn't been arranged yet; silly me....

Day6 I am not surprised that the insults are still being thrown in Leavers direction, they won’t accept it ( Brexit) even after it has happened I bet.
Every gloom and doom scenario that can be wheeled out, will be wheeled out ( see above offering with Peston) just the title of it makes me laugh.
Most of the trade deals will be still with Europe, and the rest of the world, but it seems it is preferable to constantly say ‘who will we trade with.’OMG what will we do, the sky is falling in and suchlike things!

I read a report this afternoon warning about air routes etc if UK leaves with no agreement - and the EU have said that UK owned aircraft will not be able to fly over EU airspace and that the bilateral agreements which were previously in place will not be revived.
In some areas people are worried about taking and moving money abroad to the EU and possibility of limits to amounts - I hope that is not the case and I think it unlikely but at the moment it is difficult to know what to expect.

'I know exactly what we are leaving behind'; so do I and that's why I don't want to leave. Prefer certainty over uncertainty any time. And still don't know where all these new trade deals are going to come from. Can't believe the interviews on Channel 4 tonight with brexiteers; none of them came up with a sensible reason for leaving the EU and yet their views weren't challenged.

I do not think leavers are deluded, but in one of the worst run and most despicable campaigns I can ever remember, both sides lied about what the outcome for the country would be if the other side won and grossly exaggerated the advantages if they won.

It is not surprising that those least well off and in the most deprived areas of the country responded most to illusory offers of huge sums of money being available for health and social development budgets, nor that those in more affluent areas and who regularly travelled to other EU countries for work or leisure were concerned by suggestions that doing business with other EU countries would be so beset by travel and tariff restrictions that it would make exporting to EU countries impossible and that visas would be required every time you travelled over the channel.

At the end of the day, the country was pretty evenly split, with the leavers only a few percentage points ahead, leaving the uneasy feeling that a week or two either way the result could have gone the other way. But we have what we have and we need to make it work and the sight of the separate groups still fighting old battles just reflects the complete confusion and incompetence the government is showing in negotiating our exit.

I know that Leavers who post on here all have Oxbridge double firsts and are not typical. I could just as well point to the generalised picture of remain voters - metropolitan elite snowflakes etc. Whichever one you choose this has certainly caused social divisions which will not heal easily. Not to mention the reigniting of the potentially violent divisions in Ireland which really saddens me, that really would be turning back the clock and not in a good way.

If you are jumping out of an aeroplane with an untested parachute over unknown countryside and you aren't terrified you are an idiot. It's nothing to do with any Project fear simply of realising that no-one has a bloody clue about the whole thing. And the Leavers who pretend everything is going to be wonderful are just deluded.

It’s a bit ironic that people who live in the better off regions of the UK, ( which mostly voted remain) will probably be OK come Brexitland, as but the people in the more impoverished areas , where Brexit votes were highest, will suffer most with the stagnation in growth and inflation which is predicted to last at least another 2 decades.
Delusional =the belief that we would have some magical sovereignty we didn’t already have, we’ll be rid of unelected rulers ( HM Q, H o L?), 350 pw for the NHS, that BoJo and DD have a clue what they are doing, we would no longer have any non English workers, ad infinitum. Oh but I forgot the highly intelligent Leavers didn’t believe any of the lies. It is hard to admit you have been deluded and most people will never admit it till many years down the line, by which time many of the Leave voters will be long departed.

Neither side knows what the future holds, in or out of the EU. We have our preferences but neither side has certainties. Project Fear has proven to be a crock of unrelenting gloom.

None of us knows what tomorrow will bring, after all.

Enlightening = repeating delusional beliefs about the sunny uplands of brexitland and refusing to see the reality of higher prices and lower living standards for the worse off
Enlightenment=refusing to see we have a government of incompetents who have no idea where we are going

Again, you must have a crystal ball. How can you know Leavers are deluded if neither of us is aware of what the future holds? EU dignitaries certainly don't want us to leave. I wonder why?

Doesn't the term deluded apply just as much to Remoaners?

I see that Croatia is reported as having a 'neutral' view of the EU which may reflect what I have heard from people who live there; employment prospects have not improved and may be worse and some people are seeking employment outside the EU.
Perhaps not the brighter future that they were hoping for.

I am as probably as well read about the EU as you are Jura.

The difference is I don't really feel the need to keep banging on about it or churning out positive links because...well....we WON the vote. The process of leaving will be long drawn out. I can cope with that. You see it as
some sort of "I told you so!" ammunition. It's quite sad.

Remoaners almost seem to want us to fall into an abyss...to fail, to not have a future. Such pessimism, gloom, anger, hatred, and such sour grapes, not just towards Leavers but towards the country. When will it end?
