Another Pinocchio, jura.

Boris the Bare-Faced Liar
Had an ever-growing nose
Each time he told a porky
It looked like Pinocchio’s
All of the Remain voters
Used to laugh and call him names
They didn’t know old Boris
Doesn’t have a sense of shame

Sung to Rudolph, obviously.

suzied - you beat me to it- he even admits it himself.

Glasses on, glasses off, glasses on, glasses off - they are his Pinocchio nose.

Did you know that electricity is important for lighting and heating, though?
It's in the sectoral analysis. Very deep.

suzied Sat 23-Dec-17 17:26:59

I wouldn’t think that’s too difficult. He can do that all on his own.

There are suggestions that the civil service are trying to make Davis look stupid!

I like the responses.
"We spend £3.50 a year on mince pies and sherry. Let's spend it on the NHS instead."

"Of course he can deliver presents just like before. It's just he MAY find he has to pay a small tariff to do so."

Cold, I heard this morning that Newcastle airport has sorted out the flight path for this year.

So should May be investigated to see if she has broken the ministerial code?

jura2 Fri 22-Dec-17 18:42:22

One word : NO

suzied Fri 22-Dec-17 18:29:44

Does anyone believe Green didn’t view/ know about anything that was on his computer?

jura2 Fri 22-Dec-17 17:59:55

One word : NO

durhamjen Fri 22-Dec-17 16:38:43

I am usually easily offended, but not by that link. It's just so appropriate.

Does anyone actually believe May when she says that she didn't know anything about Green's antics until a month ago?

jura2 Fri 22-Dec-17 16:13:44

ahaha didn't see it- been out all day

durhamjen Fri 22-Dec-17 16:03:25

That's the photo I put on another thread, but it's so much better with words.

jura2 Fri 22-Dec-17 15:58:44

Warning, this is rude, but so funny- do not look if easily offended:

This is worth reading, about human rights, on human rights day.

voxpoliticalonline.com/2017/12/10/on-human-rights-day-lets-take-a-moment-to-think-about-the-uk-conservative-governments-staggering-hypocrisy/

That's a hypocritical government. Watch the video, if nothing else.

It's all ambiguity and fudge so that people can interpret it in their own way. All the politicians seem to interpret it very differently.

The Irish border seems to be the only thing everyone agrees on. This leads to the soft Irish border agreement meaning we will probably avoid "no deal" and hopefully will agree customs union agreements of some type for the whole of the UK.

Ironically it seems that Arlene Foster's (hard Brexiteer) stand on treating Northern Ireland the same as the rest of the UK has meant that a soft Brexit is more likely.
Well hopefully, but who knows.

Welshwife Sun 10-Dec-17 11:18:42

It is all so complicated Jen. It is as much as anything to do with free movement of Uk citizens at the moment living in the EU - it looks as if they will not be able to move to another EU country as you can now - except presumably move back to UK - or work across borders which a lot of people do.
It is being said that TM wants to curtail the rights of EU citizens in UK and so this will impact on Uk citizens in EU.
As with so many things you can see contradictory reports. The legal one I read today was so complicated it gave me a head ache!

durhamjen Sun 10-Dec-17 10:40:06

I don't understand that, Welshwife. The whole reason the DUP did not agree on Monday was because they wanted everything to be the same over the whole of the UK.
Obviously not for EU citizens living anywhere but Northern Ireland, though.

varian Sun 10-Dec-17 10:29:25

Andrew Marr challenged DD about the 58 impact studies and was told that he hadn't meant what he had said.

Nobody should ever believe anything DD says. A lot of people seem to think all politicians lie all the time but none of them has ever been so blatant and got away with it.

Welshwife Sat 09-Dec-17 12:12:11

From what I have seen the Citizen's rights have not really been solved at all. At the moment those living in Ireland will have more rights than anyone else living in UK or EU with a British passport!! They it seems will keep both the UK passport and full EU citizenship which is not quite what the rest will get. As they say - the devil is in the detail.

suzied Sat 09-Dec-17 11:00:58

The Brexit bunch are divided over this, but I guess many of them are happy to go along keeping their feeling of victory, even if it is a fudge, and nothing much changes. Its common sense not to want an Irish border, would be turning back the clock in a bad way. May is in a lose- lose situation as she’s never going to please everyone.
