The mistake was creating the state of Israel in the first place. Yes, I can understand the knee jerk reaction after the atrocities of WW2, but to simply annex land and create a new state means someone else has lost.

The fact is the ‘Promised Land’ was lots to the Jewish Nation a very long time ago.

Let us face it, if Israel razed what is left of Palestine killing every Palestnian, after a bit of hand wringing the rest of the world would do nothing. Aid goes to both Israel and Palestine. The ratio of Israeli deaths and Palestinian is roughly 1 Israeli to 10 Palestinian. I am sorry that fairness and UN resolutions are ignored.
Trump is advised by an Orthodox Jew, Jared his son in law, his favourite daughter converted, so say goodbye to any peace settlement. His decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel makes it clear where his and the USA's allegiance is.

Jura2 is not the child in the story but someone telling her story. I have sympathy with the Palestinians but I'm afraid that their way of handling the Israeli encroachment, and that is surely what it is, does not earn them sympathy around the world. I remember thinking, at the time of 9/11 this will go on and on until Palestine has a homeland. Everything is just getting worse and worse. The whole of the Middle East is a tinder box. I don't know the answer, do any of you?

The Palestinians are receiving aid and shipments of Arms from other muslim countries notably Iran who have publicly stated their desire to murder all Jews and raze Israel to the ground. So, for the sake of their religion, they would destroy the only successful democracy in the Middle East, the only country providing jobs and a good living, healthcare and education to its people. A substantial percentage of Israelis are muslims and I don't think they are rushing to join their "brothers" anywhere else, anytime soon.

One of her cousins was convicted of directing a terrorist attack on a Jerusalem pizza restaurant in 2001 in which 15 people died and 130 were injured. Most of them were children and young mothers.

So the right is all on one side and the wrong all on the other? I don't think so. The world isn't like that and I see so many people who are delusional and blind to facts and evidence and who are prejudiced in their outlook in day to day life to take this story at face value.

Yes, two sides to every story, and this one a very complicated one ( Middle East) I read that she is a teenager and pushed and prodded the soldier to get a reaction from him ( apparently there is a video of it online) so someone had been told to film while it happened. It has probably been staged to win support.

A while back one of the elders of my church arranged a collection for a "Palestinian Charity". I research the "Charity" and found it was affiliated to a holding group. Another member of the group had goals including "Training children to kill Jews". My first assumption is that a letter from someone in prison with no access to communications (think about it) is from a similar group.

How can there be peace in Judea when the Arabs have stated "We will not rest until every Jew is dead".

I’m surprised you call them “firework rockets”, blueskies. They have killed 48 people and injured over 1900. I wouldn’t like to live in a country with that going on.

Israel retaliates for attacks by terrorists in Gaza. It does not initiate attacks. If Hamas and its allies laid down their arms, there would be peace. If Israel laid down its arms, it would be wiped out.

There have been many holocausts but does that justify killing others? That is history. It is up to all women to try and be peacemakers and teach our children not to hate.

Israel is currently bombing Gaza. They have no navy no army no airforce just stones and home made firework rockets. Never forget that the ISRAELI navy shot and killed four little Palestinian boys playing football on the beach. It horrified hardened English press. Gaza is about the size of the Isle of wight. Where have they to run? It's like shooting fish in a bucket. I am on the side of the children.
