whitewave Thu 25-Jan-18 21:26:10

You forgot to add a sniff lemon

whitewave Thu 25-Jan-18 21:25:37

That’s interesting primrose

lemongrove Thu 25-Jan-18 21:23:57

I doubt anyone is impressed by what David Miliband has to say anymore.

lemongrove Thu 25-Jan-18 21:22:24

Corbyn has his trigger finger on the tweet button as much as Trump.grin

lemongrove Thu 25-Jan-18 21:21:28

That’s funny Petra grin hope that charity holds out for a lot more money than that!

Primrose65 Thu 25-Jan-18 21:15:14

Momentum are having problems with a charity called ......Momentum. The charity trademarked the name in 2004, Lansman has apparently offered them £12k for it.
"On one occasion, charity volunteers at a hospital were berated by a parent who mistook them for Corbynistas."

jura there's a problem with the link to the David Miliband article, so I'm reposting it.

David Miliband Labour needs to commit to stopping Brexit

whitewave Thu 25-Jan-18 20:15:49

Corbyn tweeted

“Labour founded the NHS, our proudest treatment, and in its 70th year, we will fight to stop the Tory underfunding and toxic privatisation”

primrose Mogg speech is available for perusal. There are numerous quotes that you can now post as a balance to Hammond. Perhaps on a Brexit thread? Or even a Maybot thread, the choices are so numerous.

whitewave Thu 25-Jan-18 18:31:07

annie 232 MPs will be selected.

Primrose65 Thu 25-Jan-18 18:29:37

not sure why we're talking Tories here ww - maybe better on a Tory or Brexit thread.

whitewave Thu 25-Jan-18 18:28:08

primrose I expect that you will also repeat what Mogg has said?

Anniebach Thu 25-Jan-18 18:11:35

Thornberry has been tipped as Corbyn's successor

Primrose65 Thu 25-Jan-18 18:10:23

As a result of May allowing the far right to rule her, she has fuelled a hard Brexit.

"UK chancellor tells Davos there should be only ‘modest changes’ to EU relationship" FT today.

Anniebach Thu 25-Jan-18 18:08:43

Yes, at the moment we have 232 labour MP's , come an election wonder how many will be re selected

Primrose65 Thu 25-Jan-18 18:06:15

And elect a government that is snubbed by other administrations? They're amateurs who don't know how to build political relationships and alienate everyone, even members of their own party.

A Whitehall source said: “It became clear pretty quickly that the White House wasn’t especially keen to meet them. Can’t think why.”

WilmaKnickersfit Thu 25-Jan-18 18:01:56

GracesGran exactly that is what I don't get. At the moment we have 232 Labour MPs, so the chances of communists taking over are slim to none. How many Conservative supporters agreed with buying the votes of the DUP? hmm

That would definitely be me then Annie wink

Anniebach Thu 25-Jan-18 17:54:44

Doubt Corbyn would give voters the final say, they could vote to remain and he wants out

GracesGranMK2 Thu 25-Jan-18 17:48:16

Annie isn't the chance to remove the Tory government reason enough?

The best reason ever WMKF.

GracesGranMK2 Thu 25-Jan-18 17:45:44

No, but the British Communist Party is leaving the field clear for them and supports their efforts. See post above.

I find that very telling.

You may find that very telling but you have no facts to say this will happen as you admit. Fake news, Day6. Fake news.

trisher Thu 25-Jan-18 17:17:31

You see the trouble with creating a bogeyman -in this case the Communist Party- is that you endow that creation with all sorts of powers it has never had. So certainly members of the CP may not oppose Labour candidates but that's partly because they are not the sort of communists you imagine them to be. Communists are split over issues like many other groups. The group who really believe only revolution will change things are The Revolutionary Communist Group read about them here www.revolutionarycommunist.org/about

whitewave Thu 25-Jan-18 15:16:57

As a result of May allowing the far right to rule her, she has fuelled a hard Brexit.

David Miliband has called for Corbyn to consider giving the voters the final say.

whitewave Thu 25-Jan-18 14:54:17

Don’t forget that the only thing giving May her power is the extreme right of her party.

I like you am surprised that the more sensible members of the Tory party think this is acceptable, but I suspect it is because there is no one upon whom they can agree to replace her.
