Continuity of previous thread.

It is interesting to know that the Tories have chosen the environment as one of the focuses in order to try and tackle the young vote.

This morning I read that this failing government (shades of Trumpgrin is refusing to sign up to the EUs plan to tackle plastic waste.

A prime example f this government shooting itself in the foot on a number of levels.

This is why Oxfam was there.

Full scale row going on in the cabinet between the Remainers and leavers over Hammonds speech in Davros.

The 1922 club has received Approx 40 letters trying to remove Maybot. Not many to go.

Mogg, Gove and Johnson must be wetting themselves.

durhamjen Fri 26-Jan-18 20:24:38

Johnson discovered today that he was descended from a syphilitic mummy. His response was to say she was a pioneer in sexual health care, although it's thought the mercury was to cure her. Silly me thought she must have caught it from her philandering husband.

Could that be why he is wetting himself?

lemongrove Fri 26-Jan-18 20:26:18

All this talk of ‘wetting themselves’..... coming from older women, tut tut!

lemongrove Fri 26-Jan-18 20:27:41

Everybody knows that the Cabinet has Ministers who favour soft and hard Brexit whitew it’s hardly a secret.

"Johnson discovered today that he was descended from a syphilitic mummy. His response was to say she was a pioneer in sexual health care, although it's thought the mercury was to cure her. Silly me thought she must have caught it from her philandering husband."

'Silly' you , quite possibly. Certainly ignorant of the facts and most certainly jumping to a conclusion .

Whilst syphilis is indeed known to be a sexually transmitted disease you don't have to have sexual intercourse to get syphilis. Just being in close contact with an infected person's genitals, mouth, or rectum is enough to expose you to the infection. Certainly in the 16th Century this was a possibility if you were nursing caring for the syphilitic .

It is said of Johnsons great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandmother:-

She married a church minister, and lived for much of her adult life in Strasbourg. There, it is believed, she may have contracted syphilis while caring for patients with the sexually transmitted disease.

I see Gavin Williamson -a potential Tory leader, has become rather incontinent lately and releasing information about Russia that has left intelligence leaders concerned. Williamson is also in the middle of a scandal concerning a mistress. Presumably the two aren’t connected?

Another intelligent link from yourself. No doubt it will please a few who find your links the font of all wisdom .

" As you can see from the artefacts in my coffin, I’m not only proud of my European status, I also happen to own a comb, despite being almost five centuries old. Not like that shabby shit rag that the British press is apparently so fond of.”

Sigh.

lemongrove Fri 26-Jan-18 21:15:40

Hmmmm, charming isn’t it?

lemongrove Fri 26-Jan-18 21:16:49

That’s one reason I rarely read links by certain posters.

" Williamson is also in the middle of a scandal concerning a mistress. "

Do you have information as to the 'Scandal' other than his declaring he 'shared a kiss/ had a tryst in 2004 with a work colleague whilst he was working for a fireplace company , declared it prior to being selected as a candidate and went on to have a family with his wife who knew and forgave him?

Scandal ? Hyperbole more like and not just on his part.

whitewave Fri 26-Jan-18 21:39:41

And selection on your part pogs

His lawyers are refusing to answer many questions including whether he was paid off when he left the company, and why the company is not mentioned on his CV.

We of course still have the security issue to talk about which you seem happy to avoid.

POGS Fri 26-Jan-18 22:03:27

I am not avoiding anything whitewave!

I know nothing of his lawyers and security issues .

I am interested to know , enlighten me,.

I googled 'Security Issues' and nothing came up . As Google is not used by some posters , their own words, perhaps there are other sites that may have information I am not aware of.

durhamjen Fri 26-Jan-18 22:33:28

POGS, it's newsthump. It's supposed to be satire.

POGS Fri 26-Jan-18 22:56:43

Of course it's satire .

Satire can be amusing / witty but satire can also be used to display contempt / acrimony .

When satire is used in the latter form it say as much about the satirist as it does those who presumably agree with it's obvious meaning.

You takes her pick .

durhamjen Fri 26-Jan-18 23:21:06

Obviously, POGS.

I presume you meant to say you take your pick.

So why sigh at the satire I put on and complain as if it's supposed to be serious?
Why be sarcastic about me?
Nobody but you takes me seriously all the time.

Lighten up, why don't you?

durhamjen Fri 26-Jan-18 23:24:51

Even Boris's sister didn't want to be on The Last Leg tonight when it meant she was connected to him.
I don't know why she went on, actually.

Why does May think that her government can get rid of fake news, when they are the ones who lie all the time about NHS statistics?

Blimey! There seems to be world war 3 going on in the upper echelons and not so upper in the Tory party. Mays position is looking very dodgy. Anarchy is reporting to be breaking out.

lemongrove Sat 27-Jan-18 15:16:48

Being hopeful again I see whitew

lemongrove Sat 27-Jan-18 15:18:23

I certainly don’t take you seriously durhamjen.

Confirmed by Tim Montgomerie. Who says that despair of May is almost universal
