The woman who told all is backed by the FT's not inconsiderable legal department, just in case anyone at the club wants to sue her for breaking her agreement. After all, isn't this how tax fraud and wikileaks get exposed?

It most definitely has NotTooOld and I know that this kind of thing has happened to my own DD (not that they were made to dress like that when waitressing though) and they dealt with it very deftly in a way which left no doubt.
However, these girls were 'set up' by the agency to behave like that imo and should have been pre-warned so that they make a choice of whether or not to work for them..

It has been said the girls started work at 4.00pm. There were about 100 girls, we can assume they were not kept apart to change into their working clothes , some girls had been to this event in previous years. Did they not talk to each other ?
Were they not troubled by the skimpy uniform? Were they locked in the building , they could have left at any time, perhaps it was in the agreement they signed but it has been said they were not allowed to read it.

I think we must give credit to the undercover reporters, too. They did a good job and it must have been quite frightening for them.

Gina Miller commented that the NDA cannot possibly be legally binding and those running the event know this. It is simply used as a bullying tactic, but how many of the women were aware of this?

Anniebach not every man was a groper, not every girl was groped, perhaps the ones who were groped last year didn't turn up this year. So the old hands wouldn't be able to inform the new girls.
Would anyone who has expressed disapproval of the dress they wore like to say what they would find suitable? Should we stick women back in corsets and full length skirts and warn them not to show their ankles?

Too many posts to read so not sure if anyone has mentioned the agency Artista. What sort of agency is it that would send young girls to an event like this with instructions on what to wear.

This sort of thing has gone in since time immemorial, however this no justification. The girls knew what they were going into purely by being told what they must wear. I heard something on woman’s hour this morning about banning all male do’s...what about the women’s institute? Let’s stop being so over the top PC ... we are becoming stifled by it!

Yes I agree, I mentioned them but didn't name them, and posted that it is run by a woman Grandmama.

Instructions on what to wear are one thing - eg for waitressing DD would know it was probably black skirt, white blouse/shirt, but the instructions were about the underwear and shoes and the skimpy dresses were provided by the agency.

Alarm bells should have rung surely?
