Poverty of ideas
Poverty of economy

It seems that NI is as useless said to stay in the Single Market according to EU draft.

Expect a major row from the headbangers and denial from Number 10

Round and around we go.

Tegan: try listening to the World Service on the radio instead. :-)

I sleep with the tv on due to tinnitus; woke up this morning to a breakfast tv article that said how good brexit was because food was more expensive and people can no longer afford holidays so we're staying at home and getting fit and healthy confused.[followed by another article saying that as a nation we were becoming obese and it was partly because it was easier and cheaper to eat take away/junk food etc.Thought I was still asleep and having a bad dream. Switched channels only to see an advert about spots using the slogan 'take back control'......this was after turning QT off last night after about 30 seconds, when I'd been determined to try watching it again....

What a good idea Mrs May!

If I could do it I might actually drift towards Norway Gerispringer away from the self-inflicted mess we are in at the moment.

DJ: They can't give him a big fine as he doesn't have any money. A year in jail will be better.
The one good thing about Brexit is that he will only be an MEP for another year.

Farage has no money? He has a massive salary from the EU. And he will have a pension from them when he leaves.

durhamjen Fri 23-Mar-18 09:08:48

Was that just yesterday, mostlyharmless? The day after he polluted the Thames with dead fish?
It was world water day.

whitewave Fri 23-Mar-18 08:59:18

It has definitely been a period of collective insanity, brought on by internal Tory war.

Gerispringer Fri 23-Mar-18 08:54:16

People who voted Brexit assuming it would mean the end of austerity are in for a disappointment . Seems like we are drifting towards the Norway option, which won’t please the Brextreemists, but would be the least worst option for remainers. So no one will get what they want. Marvellous.

There's a link to a video clip in above link.

Isn't there some way that Farage's MEP constituency could recall him, sack him, as he doesn't do his job in the European Parliament?

durhamjen Thu 22-Mar-18 22:17:22

He might be. They can't give him a big fine as he doesn't have any money. A year in jail will be better.

Did you notice that it was an SNP staff member who videoed it and sent it directly to Westminster Council. Brilliant.
Even better after next May when Westminster will be a Labour council.

He ought to be done for polluting the river as well

“Fly-tipping is a serious criminal offence which carries an unlimited fine. Offenders can be sent to prison.”

The council can't say they didn't know about it.

Though no doubt primrose will be here shortly to tell me I've got it all wrong...

to grow the economy again and deal with the resultant debt.

I don't think they've dealt with the debt at all. In fact, government borrowing is higher than it was under Labour. What they've done is reduced the deficit - the difference between government income and government spending. Of course, they've done this by cutting money to public services with results that we all know about...

And, I understand that there are more cuts to come...

whitewave Thu 22-Mar-18 16:56:45

I am not sure that people actually appreciate exactly what it means.

The recent bankers crash resulted in a 2% decline, look how long it has taken this government to grow the economy again and deal with the resultant debt. Mind you their economic policies have been abysmal.
