Hopefully this will be about politics and news only ,with no personal remarks or attempts to stifle.

Jon Lansman is more dangerous than Corbyn, at least at the moment.

Niggly why do you make posts that are simply and only a personal attack. It isn't just boring and tiresome I have a feeling it could be against the GN rules.

whitewave Mon 26-Feb-18 16:28:34

Poll shows that 69% of Labour voters think Brexit is wrong

lemongrove Mon 26-Feb-18 16:42:38

niggly I don’t think she can help it!

Of course Corbyn is being advised to go for it ( by Momentum probably who call the shots.) If he can force a vote of no confidence there will be another (!) GE.

In any case, he can say anything about what he would do if he was in charge of negotiating Brexit because he doesn’t
have to.

I can't control what you assume GGMk2. I've said so many times, I discuss my opinions.
You write your opinion. That's biased. I write mine. That's biased too. I don't care how much 'weight' my opinion carries, as we're just here to share news and ideas. (Or is there a 'Queen of Gransnet' competition that I'm unaware of? What's the prize?)
I've shared my ideas. Why not discuss them rather than write the same old rubbish about opinions and facts? I posted pretty much the same idea on a different thread and there was none of this fuss at all.

lemongrove Mon 26-Feb-18 17:06:56

Well said Primrose ??

GracesGranMK2 Mon 26-Feb-18 17:11:40

I write my opinion saying I think, in my opinion, imo, or whatever. I am not so arrogant I have to tell people as if it was a fact Primrose and, if you remember that far back, it wasn't just me who noticed the tone of your post.

Primrose65 Mon 26-Feb-18 17:14:18

Thanks lemon and niggly smile

Primrose65 Mon 26-Feb-18 17:15:10

I am not so arrogant I have to tell people as if it was a fact Primrose

Well, that's an opinion for a start!

GracesGranMK2 Mon 26-Feb-18 17:15:14

It's the conclusion I keep coming to Primrose. Different tribes with different cultures and yours and those who post in what I find an equally rude manner, is not mine.

Culturally there are groups in this country who could come from other planets for all their differences. I do appreciate you see me in the same way. That, it appears, is life. We almost certainly would not come into contact, or perhaps not twice, in real life.

lemongrove Mon 26-Feb-18 17:15:33

Nobody puts IMHO all the time! Life is too short.
Just assume that if somebody says what they feel, then that is their opinion.

lemongrove Mon 26-Feb-18 17:18:39

GGM2 ....what a very unfriendly post from you!
All because Primrose doesn’t agree with what you say.
Quite unbelievable and very un Gransnet.

lemongrove Mon 26-Feb-18 17:22:07

Actually, who knows how posters would get on in RL, I always suspect that if they met up for a coffee more would have something in common than not! I have met so many GNers in RL and have got on with them all.
Let’s stick to politics, even if we have different views on it.

nigglynellie Mon 26-Feb-18 17:36:28

I don't make personal attacks on anyone GG. I just commented on yours, which are a bit homemaking and Rudy to say the least. Lemons, Primrose, annie, need I go on!

nigglynellie Mon 26-Feb-18 17:37:19

Yawnmaking and rude

Jalima1108 Mon 26-Feb-18 17:38:24

Actually, as most people don't discuss politics with their neighbours you could be living next door to each other and feed each others' cats/water each others' pots when either of you go away on holiday and be perfectly amicable neighbours discussing the weather and the garden.

Who knows smile

petra Mon 26-Feb-18 17:39:32

Primrose
Your post @15.36. Your opinion makes a lot of sense. I hadn't thought about his speech in that way, but now I have, mmm. It's certainly possible.

Primrose65 Mon 26-Feb-18 17:42:03

Jalima, you're quite right!

trisher Mon 26-Feb-18 17:46:37

Primrose65 They are in favour of a customs union with the EU because they think it will start a series of events to collapse the Government and force a general election. It has nothing to do with frictionless trade
Nothing to do with the warnings from the car industry, with the fact that 60% of our food exports currently go to the EU or any of the other countless trade deals that will suffer without a deal. Must be good to be so knowledgable.

nigglynellie Mon 26-Feb-18 17:52:05

I can't think that the EU will agree to it - I think it's been referred to as gateau icing, or words to that effect!

whitewave Mon 26-Feb-18 18:00:14

90% of Labour voters want to remain in the single market.

That will be a large% of Brexiters

whitewave Mon 26-Feb-18 18:01:15

yougov. btw

Primrose65 Mon 26-Feb-18 18:03:46

Is that from NatCen ww? I know they did a poll in 2016 that showed 90% of voters said yes to single market access.

Primrose65 Mon 26-Feb-18 18:03:59

x post - thanks

Jalima1108 Mon 26-Feb-18 18:05:05

In a poll in 2016 it was 90% of voters, whether red, blue, green, yellow etc.
