This is so amusing, Unite funds Momentum, Momentum controls Corbyn, Unions funds Labour Party.
And the far left talk of money controlling the Tory party .

Hopefully this will be about politics and news only ,with no personal remarks or attempts to stifle.
Jon Lansman is more dangerous than Corbyn, at least at the moment.

Unite v Momentum?
That’s a bit like Godzilla v Kong!
If Corbyn is publicly supporting the Unite candidate, it means he is trying to distance himself ( only publicly) from Momentum.Or, because Unite is paying the bills, he has no choice maybe.Of course if Momentum really is the love child of Unite, then they are both Unite candidates.?
I think Andrew Murray will run too. Don't know about anyone else yet.
That is interesting.
I have read and posted that Corbyn is supporting the Unite candidate.
Wonder if anyone else will put up or indeed if anyone else has put up

He's getting ready to go head to head with Jennie Formby. Momentum v Unite!
Back to Lansman to ask what to do next
Back to the drawing board for Corbyn!

Your post of today 14.15 - A Little Reminder. - has a link to a statement by Corbyn which starts.
"Britain will need a bespoke relationship with the EU"----
What do you see as the difference between the statement from Corbyn using the term 'A Bespoke Deal' and Theresa May who has used the term ' A Bespoke Deal' for ages?
2016
uk.reuters.com/article/uk-britain-eu-may/may-wants-bespoke-terms-for-eu-exit-idUKKCN1081QT
"Britain wants a bespoke model for its future ties with the European Union, Prime Minister Theresa May said on Thursday, during a tour of Eastern European allies aimed at securing support in negotiations on leaving the bloc."
Theresa May has spoken of getting a 'Bespoke Deal' for what seems like eons but we know what Michel Barrier has said.
No. No. No!
www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/brexit-latest-michel-barnier-trade-deal-theresa-may-norway-canada-a8115831.html
"Brexit: Chief EU negotiator says 'no way' to a bespoke trade deal for the UK".
No cherry picking!
Oh,dear oh dear GracesGran, still at it I see, can’t you ignore posts that you don’t like or understand instead of trying to police everybody? Or just PM those that you find acceptable!

"Pogs Momentum would not admit to having "official" union support now or in its foundation. That reason would be because no employed Organizer, staff or statuary committee has given support as that has come from "grass roots trade union activists" not directly employed by their unions."
Thank you for your courteous reply and I find your posts intriguing.
If you remember I said this previously in answer to one of your posts.:-
"I have followed the rise of Momentum, spoken and debated Momentum on Gransnet from it's inception and I can honestly say that I would not be remotely surprised if the connection between the Unions, especially the Unite Union , has been there from the start of Jeremy for Leader / Momentum. However I have reservations as to this being the case and would like to ask you for further input accepting you may hold more knowledge."---
I am now clear that you do believe Momentum was started by the Unite Union and Jon Lansman , albeit through 'The independent Community Branches ' , not by Unite Executive Council.
Jeremy for Leader which morphed into Momentum always seemed to be giving the impression this was a grass roots organisation by the ordinary Joe in the street who liked what Corbyn stood for and I do think there was a reason for that and no mention of accepting payment or close ties with Unite were ever mentioned, actually the opposite impression was given.
I am reminded of of a long time after Momentum was started Tom Watson got into a row with McClusky over the Unite /Momentum connections and possible 'afiliation'. Lansman was gave every impression Momentum took no funding from Unite .
www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/mar/19/momentum-accused-of-entryism-labour-tom-watson
Note the tweet between Jess Philips an Lansman where he tweeted
"has not received a penny from @unitetheunion Jess. And it won't unless it is agreed through the proper process."--
www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/mar/18/secret-tape-reveals-momentum-plot-to-link-with-unite-seize-control-of-labour?CMP=share_btn_tw----
www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/mar/20/labour-in-battle-with-momentum-for-its-future-says-watson
"Watson had demanded that McCluskey respond to a secret recording claiming that the union would fund an expansion of activities by Momentum if he were re-elected as general secretary."
"A statement from the union said Watson’s comments were extraordinary and added: “For the record, Len McCluskey has never met Jon Lansman to discuss this or any other matter.”
"Momentum has had close connections with Unite since the group was established to support Corbyn’s first leadership election campaign in 2015, according to insiders. At the organisation’s national steering committee meeting in February 2016, Lansman told Momentum supporters that Unite wanted to support the group, but would only do so if it only had Labour supporters as members, sources said. "
So much information out there to show if as you state funding had been provided through the Unite Union branches and Jon Lansman to start Momentum then I think the denial from Unite and Momentum of such a link having taken place begs a very intriguing question, Why?
I think you are so right Primrose
Will no Corbyn follower explain why Frank Field lied ? I always thought him honest
Thanks petra.
I think this is all because Soubry tabled an amendment to add ‘a’ customs union to the trade bill. With Labour backing this now, it means May could be defeated on that. I think this would trigger a vote of no confidence which would lead to a GE. I think that explains the timing and content of his speech.
However, there's no guarantee that turkeys vote for Christmas and it might have the opposite effect. It'll be interesting to see if Jeremy has inadvertently pulled the Tories together on Brexit.
Just trying to work out why he's come off the fence now, although again, I could be putting my tin foil hat on
Thank you annie.
I think there will be some reasonable minded people who voted for Ben Bradley who will be rethinking their next vote. With a majority of 1,057 I wouldn't rate his chances.
I have an answer for the Tory payment of tweets and how to save them hard earned donations from the tax avoiding wealthy.
Tell the truth!!
Ben Bradley’s retraction of his lies and smears has received more retweets than the entire Tory tweets so far in 2018.
So Frank Field lied ?
The latest NatCen poll dated 20th Feb shows an overall majority of 45% think the U.K. is wrong to leave the EU.
I am indeed honoured to be compared with niggly
Thanks for that Jalima - that's the survey I was thinking of.
A gentle reminder for all the ostriches
mobile.twitter.com/LeaveWatch_/status/968175072388231169/photo/1
The 90% is certainly interesting Jalima.
However, the poll also found that 70% of people believe Britain should be able to limit the number of EU citizens coming to the UK, with 74% saying they should have to apply to enter this country in the same way non-Europeans do.
Sadly that makes it seem as if it was always all about immigration.
This is so pathetically tragic
How else can they get vocal supporters? Apart from GN of course ahem!

Niggly why do you think you are only asking four people if you need to go on. It's because they are like you, think like you and see rudeness in the same way you do.
You have just called me rude and then repeated it calling me yawn-making and rude. You believe that is okay? Why does me pointing out that someone puts their opinions as if they are facts in the course of a discussion - where if comments are facts or opinions matters, become "rude", while you saying I am yawn making and rude not rate as a personal attack?
Perhaps you don't even realise you are being personally derogatory and aggressive. For all I know you go round shouting such things at one another . But, both in my opinion and in how I would react to someone behaving like that in RL coming on, having not been on during the day and your second post being entirely and deliberately personal and derogatory is unpleasant, rude and unnecessary.
