Hopefully this will be about politics and news only ,with no personal remarks or attempts to stifle.

Jon Lansman is more dangerous than Corbyn, at least at the moment.

GG, why are you persistently so rude on a personal level to people you disagree with. It's both boring and tiresome.

nigglynellie Mon 26-Feb-18 16:20:51

I thought the EU weren't going to allow any cherry picking?!! How is it that Mr Corbyn seems to think that he can get a bespoke deal, when the EU have made it perfectly clear to Mrs May that there is no such deal to be had.? Are the EU and Mr Corbyn el al in cahoots in order to bring Mrs May down? If this sort of arrangement as suggested, is met with
EU approval then it sure looks like it!

So why try and pretend your opinion is a fact Primrose? That's why people comment. It isn't. It is an opinion from someone who has shown themselves to be very biased in one direction. Therefore it carries very little weight. Add some real facts and it would carry some weight. I'm afraid I haven't begun to see you as "The Great Primrose - Mindreader" yet. You never know though.

Love it

The government who’s stated position 6 weeks ago was that there would have to be some form of Customs Union are now saying it’s a betrayal of the referendum grin grin

Yes, the 'Primrose has an opinion' onslaught.
Keep 'em coming.

Primrose65 Mon 26-Feb-18 16:01:00

... and you are so certain of that because ...?

How many times has Corbyn mentioned the importance of frictionless trade? That's why I think it has nothing to do with it - because it has nothing to do with it!

GracesGranMK2 Mon 26-Feb-18 15:59:15

xpost humpty smile

Primrose65 Mon 26-Feb-18 15:58:35

Do you mean a reference to an opinion of someone else?

GracesGranMK2 Mon 26-Feb-18 15:58:24

ww They are in favour of a customs union with the EU because they think it will start a series of events to collapse the Government and force a general election. It has nothing to do with frictionless trade!

... and you are so certain of that because ...?

humptydumpty Mon 26-Feb-18 15:51:03

Reference for that primrose - or opinion?

whitewave Mon 26-Feb-18 15:48:19

Interestingly none seems to find anything in Corbyns speech that calls for a communist economy. All I heard was labour keen to help industry, ensure jobs and invest in the economy

Corbyn is a sceptical European and so am I .

GracesGranMK2 Mon 26-Feb-18 15:26:03

He didn't want out Annie - what makes you think that? He said very clearly at the time and today that he was in favour of staying in but with wanted changes. It was never all or nothing for most people and it seems it wasn't for him.

Why should he take place in the TV debates? He decided to go round the country to meetings. Is there now some law that everyone must appear on MSM - oh no, May didn't did she. The MSM has had it's day unless it changes. Rather like the Tory party, it admirers are ageing and slowly dying out.

Anniebach Mon 26-Feb-18 15:18:09

If staying in was best for the country why did Corbyn want out? Why didn't he campaign leading up to the referendum? Refused to take part in tv debates , why?

whitewave Mon 26-Feb-18 14:59:51

The are in favour because they want to protect the national interest, the economy and jobs

whitewave Mon 26-Feb-18 14:58:58

Of course we must remember that there is an enormous majority in Parliament and the HoL from all sides for the U.K. to stay in the CU

whitewave Mon 26-Feb-18 14:57:42

The markets have reacted favourably.

Anniebach Mon 26-Feb-18 14:49:09

Do some GNers do Momentum ? Some certaintly do personal attacks on fellow GNers

lemongrove Mon 26-Feb-18 14:48:46

Well, if they really want to end up sitting on the Opposite benches they will do what they want I guess, but if they value being in government they will follow what the Whip says.

whitewave Mon 26-Feb-18 14:46:05

What will be interesting now is how the Tory rebels will react.

Anniebach Mon 26-Feb-18 14:45:45

Frank Field isn't happy

lemongrove Mon 26-Feb-18 14:39:22

though you did say that mud sticks ww so although that mud may induce some to join Momentum, it will also deter others from voting for him.
What I call the draw of Corbyn and also the repellent.

Primrose65 Mon 26-Feb-18 14:38:59

But isn't that just establishment elites and the MSM ww?

whitewave Mon 26-Feb-18 14:33:25

Guardian report saying that every time the right wing press attack Corbyn, Labour and Momentum experience a spike in new membership.
