Labour MP Keir Starmer, a Remainer has already admitted that the Labour desire for a customs union withthe EU would mean agreeing terms with Brussels regarding how we trade. Brussels would be negotiators.

Remaining in an EU, Brussels-led customs union means we do not leave the EU.

Doesn’t mean we can’t stay in the Customs Union though - if it is a way of maintaining trade links with EU and keeping peace in Ireland.
The Conservatives realise we might need a Customs Union anyway.

But the question you are not addressing is what sort of Brexit.

If you want a hard Brexit all well and good, but if you consider that a softer Brexit would, be better for our economy and jobs, give more revenue to the government to provide the people with the services they need, prevent a disaster in NI, help retain the union and much more. Then you should not be cross you should be thankful that common sense is prevailing.

I think many Remoaners think they won the Brexit vote.

The UK voted to leave the EU (whether you approve or not) and the PM has a mandate from the people, to leave.

The only way the British public will be betrayed is to continue with the lunacy of a hard Brexit. If that disaster happens then the great British public will be really betrayed, as they see their stNdard of living already falling, fall even further, with less government revenue for all the services the brexit voter so very much depends on.

The words “Customs union” were not on the Referendum ballot paper.

It says everything I need to know about the present Labour Party Day6 !
However nothing is sorted as yet, and Labour change their position from day to day depending on which MP is talking.
