Simple title so should be easy to update everyone with any bits of knowledge we gain.

Anniebach Fri 16-Mar-18 22:29:59

Durhamjen, I quoted a fact, Corbyn had 2 E grades , that isn't putting him down. You are too sensitive about Corbyn, he is a big boy now

Anniebach Fri 16-Mar-18 22:27:11

Most interesting Primrose, shouldn't be to much of a problem for the two Welsh MP's , at the last election we canvassed as Welsh Labour and had Carwyn Jones on our fliers . Ŵell if Momentum doesn't work at getting them reselected. I do worry for Ben Bradshaw

durhamjen Fri 16-Mar-18 22:22:03

So you didn't write this, then, Annie? Who did?

Corbyn

Experience ? None , well in marriages yes

Intelligence ? 2 E grades in A'levels

Knowledge ? How to dodge straight questions , yep lots of practice

The BBC Newsnight last night used a photoshopped photo of Corbyn. They replaced his usual hat with a Russian fur hat and placed him in front of a red tinted photo of Moscow.

BBC neutrality?

Anniebach Fri 16-Mar-18 22:16:30

Well, I never boast about my IQ , little to boast about , and I never put people down because of their lack of intelligence, had my spelling errors corrected to often here to mock anyone else, too cruel.

Primrose65 Fri 16-Mar-18 22:10:09

Chris Williamson has branded Labour MPs who back Theresa May’s stance on Russia – rather than Corbyn’s – as ‘political enemies’. The Spectator have created a handy list.

lemongrove Fri 16-Mar-18 21:51:14

We will never know.

durhamjen Fri 16-Mar-18 21:49:36

Stephen Hawking thought that people who boasted of their IQ were losers.
I wonder what he thought of those who put people down because of their supposed lack of intelligence?

Anniebach Fri 16-Mar-18 21:38:56

With Corbyn and Co running the party how could there be a successful coalition

POGS Fri 16-Mar-18 21:32:01

Or another coalition. confused

Anniebach Fri 16-Mar-18 21:29:21

If the Tory party lose the next election and it will be easier to pull this country back from the far right towards the centre this can only mean the .Libs will win. ?

lemongrove Fri 16-Mar-18 20:37:01

Team Corbyn are running him!

Jalima1108 Fri 16-Mar-18 20:36:15

Last night, someone dreamt it.

Anniebach Fri 16-Mar-18 20:35:14

Since when did Corbyn move from the far left to centre?

lemongrove Fri 16-Mar-18 20:35:11

grin

Jalima1108 Fri 16-Mar-18 20:34:56

There are certainly older people who think they know best and can tell people of any age what to do and what to think, I do agree with you on that one though!
Yes, there are always one or two!!

no wonder they are looking for a party not run by and with a membership of the old.
Corbyn is not a spring chicken, last time I looked at him anyway.
But then I have never thought that he is 'running the party'.

Anniebach Fri 16-Mar-18 20:32:55

Corbyn

but pensioners have not usually had the need to keep a job surely?

In fact, there are probably more working pensioners now (pro rata) than in previous generations.
Surely, if one has worked for 45+ years no-one would resent a person retiring?
Do we tell the younger generation what to do?
I don't know anyone of my acquaintance who does that.
We know exactly what it was like to try to keep a roof over our heads, bring up a family, make do, so we will hardly criticise the 40 somethings who are now doing the same. They're doing a great job - in many cases with our help.

Jalima1108 Fri 16-Mar-18 20:27:17

What will pull the country back to the left of centre will be a new and less controversial leader of the LP.
One with the experience, intelligence and knowledge to know how to lead the country forward.

Jalima1108 Fri 16-Mar-18 20:26:02

The Welsh Labour Government supports May not Corbyn
Interesting Anniebach.

GracesGranMK2 Fri 16-Mar-18 20:22:20

In the last election - you might like to check because this comes from memory - the Tories got 42% of the votes and the LP got 40%. This was an election where the LP started 20 points behind. I hope the Tories go on believing that the Labour Party cannot win, Primrose. It will make it easier to pull this country back from the far right and towards the centre.

Jalima1108 Fri 16-Mar-18 20:21:39

primrose What concrete evidence is there that this was a state endorsed assassination attempt?

The general public is not privy to much evidence that is known by government(s). Why should we be?
Anyone who knows more will have signed the Official Secrets Act.

Jalima1108 Fri 16-Mar-18 20:19:23

In my opinion Corbyn was one of the few who showed seriousness and dignity.
I thought that Keir Starmer showed seriousness and dignity.

Very impressed by him; I thought he lacked charisma but who needs charisma? We need intelligence, thoughtfulness and an extensive knowledge of home and world affairs in a leader.

lemongrove Fri 16-Mar-18 20:19:03

grin

Primrose65 Fri 16-Mar-18 20:10:17

Well, according to all the polls, he's not attracting enough voters of any age to win an election yet. Young or old.

There are certainly older people who think they know best and can tell people of any age what to do and what to think, I do agree with you on that one though!
