Lots of anti Jewish remarks in the last road I lived in. We weren't very far from the synagogue and as some of you might know, as a Jew you must walk to shul but many of the congregation couldn't be bothered thereby filling up the nearby roads.
Perhaps I should have reported them to the thought police.

I say Momentum,because as they rose to prominence the allegations of antisemitism became more frequent.

So why are there demonstrations today outside Parliament, if all Jewish people are so behind Corbyn and the LP?
A conspiracy by any chance?

Obviously anti Jewish ‘cartoons’ are a different matter.

trisher Corbyn spoke at a rally against the Danish cartoons about Mohammed, he wasn’t simply present, he spoke out about them saying how bad they were.
So, some art can be censored ( if it suits the agenda.)

Ten times Corbyn stood with British Jews against antisemitism.

By the way, Chuka Umunna was a member of the committee that said labour was no more anti-semitic than any other party.

Well, I have had a number of people make antisemitic comments to me. I can think of three local cab drivers, two of them graduates who have talked about a jewish conspiracy, jews ruling the world along with Americans, jews running the media, the banks and all the finances. The twin towers were blown up by Jewish Americans to cause chaos in the Middle East.
These are otherwise pleasant, interesting men but during the hour long trip to our airport have begun to open up about politics. No I haven't reported them to the police. Yes I did challenge their views. Did my challenge make any difference of course not.

The only people who have told me what to think are the right wingers on this thread who accused me of anti-semitism because I couldn't see any in the mural and because I believe there is no valid reason to censor art.

If he/she merely expressed idiotic opinions, and we know there are plenty of them. I would simply distance myself.

In all my years I have never had anyone make antisemitic comments to me in private, even when I went to a school where there were quite a few Jewish girls.

Even if that anti-Semitic person was only anti-Semitic in private, ww, e.g. if someone expressed what you regarded as anti-Semitism to you as part of a private conversation? Would you report them to the police then? If so, why? So long as they weren't publicly harming anyone why would it be necessary to police their beliefs, even wrong ones?

I wouldn't describe Freedland's article as "utterly disgusting subliminal nastiness" but I suppose that's why I don't think Corbyn will deal with antisemitism - when he reads the evidence, he just dismisses it. I think Freedland hit the nail on the head for me. "Unwelcome external scrutiny" indeed.
