I thought that as well, whitewave. I don't know why Marr allowed her to criticise Cadwalladr like that. I thought she was so condescending.

Isabel Oakshott seems to be another great favourite of the BBC, always on the Daily Politics, Question Time and other political shows promoting hard line brexit. Although I have read Carol Cadwalladr's pieces in the Guardian, I have never seen her on TV before. Oakshott just kept saying "where's your evidence?" and was allowed to get away with that.

"Where's your evidence? I thought we'd destroyed it all!"

Why shouldn't Oakshott ask ‘where’s the evidence’ ?
Marr was saying much the same thing really. I have a feeling that there may not be any evidence of real wrongdoing.

Frankly Oakshot rattled reaction would only go to spur me on to dig further. She was extremely uncomfortable.

So you haven't seen the channel 4 News items or read the Cadwalldr articles that have been published in the guardian/Observer over the past few months, lemon? It's called 'investigative journalism' and is a well recognised route to exposing things that people would rather were hushed up. Remember the Thalidomide scandal? That was exposed by investigative journalism. It has a good and honourable history.
