A continuation of Momentum/Intertia/Magnetism/Elasticity but with a less scientific bias. grin

A thread about Corbyn. For lovers and haters.

MawBroon Wed 09-May-18 22:42:39

I clearly have a rogue spellchecker which has produced “it’s” instead of “its “ again. (Male perhaps?)

Grandad1943 Wed 09-May-18 22:44:37

Somebody rattle your cage MawBroon??? (LOL)

Oldwoman70 Wed 09-May-18 22:45:53

Jalima I hope you are being supervised by an industrial safety officer who has attended the necessary lectures - those pointy needles could cause injury.

Jalima1108 Wed 09-May-18 22:46:27

I do wonder if you are real, Grandad, or the figment of someone's vivid imagination.

a disenchanted old geezer.
and, despite claims to the contrary, a very old-fashioned geezer.

Jalima1108 Wed 09-May-18 22:47:42

those pointy needles could cause injury.
With a bit of luck!

Oh, it doesn't work if you stab them at posts on the screen.
I didn't realise, silly me

Jalima1108 Wed 09-May-18 22:48:35

DH could, but he has gone to the pub

Grandad1943 Wed 09-May-18 22:51:58

Jalima1108, your repeated posts demonstrate stress and unclear thinking. I should take a break.

MawBroon Wed 09-May-18 22:53:20

You should indeed Grandad
First sensible utterance you have made this evening.

Jalima1108 Wed 09-May-18 22:55:20

grin

lemongrove Wed 09-May-18 22:59:54

I think Primrose must be on holiday? hope she went to somewhere nice with a beach and wine

Corbyn was spluttery and ineffective today at PMQ’s ( so what’s new.)

Grandad1943 Wed 09-May-18 23:03:34

The reference to taking a break was to you Jalima1108 which you undoubtedly understood, or perhaps not being a Daily Mail reader or Sun reader. Now run off and report this post to teacher, which will be another victory to me.

Jalima1108 Wed 09-May-18 23:09:25

He is just not very good at thinking on his feet, is he, lemongrove.
Not the best man in a crisis.

I feel rather sorry for him in a way.

Grandad1943 Wed 09-May-18 23:24:42

Anyway I am off to bed in expectations of being banned from this forum by morning. I have really enjoyed this evening and I and others will (from a distance) still be able to witness the supposedly serious but in reality joke posts on this section of the forum.

I think it was my reference to a party of now only seventy thousand members with an average age of seventy one that undoutedly upset a section of members who seen reference to that which they support and in that themselves within that remark.

However, the truth always hurts.

I wonder who will report this posting.

lemongrove Wed 09-May-18 23:40:32

Jalima I felt a bit sorry for Corbyn initially, he was so obviously out of his depth and comfort zone.....he still is, but the LP has changed around him and he is surrounded by those who tell him everything is wonderful and the country is behind him ( it isn’t.)

lemongrove Wed 09-May-18 23:41:15

The local elections proved that point.

Oldwoman70 Thu 10-May-18 07:14:15

I have always felt that Corbyn was a man promoted beyond his capabilities. I think he is probably a decent sort of man but is totally out of his depth.

Iam64 Thu 10-May-18 07:55:50

I try not to be picky but - "legal secretary's ..... " . The job of secretaries is to type the reports that have been dictated by the qualified lawyers.
Medical secretaries type up the letters and reports written by the medics. If a secretary was a qualified doctor or lawyer - they'd be earning much more and not spending all their time typing something written by the person they work for.

Anniebach Thu 10-May-18 08:38:03

My son in law draw Asian wife is the legal secretary ,

That didn’t work did it ?

My son in law who isn’t wife is a legal secretary , she isn’t Asian ?

Anniebach Thu 10-May-18 08:45:21

If Corbyn became PM how would he cope without written notes at PMQ ? Perhaps he would have a thingy in his ear so his note writer could tell him what answers to give, gosh his questions go on and on and on , I wonder if his notes Include directions? - pause , look over specs, lean forward, glare etc

yggdrasil Thu 10-May-18 08:45:48

Hey Grandad1943, you have discovered what I found some time ago, there is no point using past experience to tell actual facts.
Anyway, the title of this forum should have given you a clue.
By posting this, I have moved this one right back up the list, it takes a whole month of no postings to drop off. I wish there was a way of removing them from the 'Im'm On' section!

Oldwoman70 Thu 10-May-18 08:49:41

yggdrasil if you don't post on a thread it very quickly drops off the bottom of your "I'm on" section.

Oldwoman70 Thu 10-May-18 08:51:23

Sorry - that isn't correct - I'm not firing on all cylinders at the moment - only had I cup of coffee.

Smileless2012 Thu 10-May-18 09:34:16

I have a degree of sympathy for him as well Jalimal. I wonder if he has nightmares about becoming PM. He can't handle PMQ so how on earth would he cope with world leaders?

Anniebach Thu 10-May-18 09:58:57

He doesn’t cope well with questions he hasn’t prepared for, he avoids them as much as he can

Oldwoman70 Thu 10-May-18 10:12:30

Much like he avoids disaffected councillors and pensioners grin
