Any sort of disagreement these days seems to be labelled as "bullying" even when posters on both sides of the argument might be perceived by some to be over zealous in their comments.
Referring to posters in extremely dismissive terms might also be construed as rude. "Ganging up" to accuse one person in a heated debate of being a bully could be viewed as a tactical move, used to discredit that person and the viewpoint that that person espouses.
Although I voted remain, I understand why some people voted to leave but - given the nastiness and division that this issue has caused - I find myself, to some degree, out of sympathy with both sides of the argument.
At the end of the day, in a world where 1% of the population owns, I think, 85% of the wealth, I see the issue of staying or leaving the EU as a relatively cosmetic one in the grand scheme of things. One way or another, those that hold power now will continue to hold power, whether countries are in or out of the EU.
Having said that, the chaos that has resulted from holding this referendum and the continuing uncertainty will, I believe, only compound the UK's ever-increasing problems, which in the main are not, in my view, the fault of the EU but, more generally, of the dysfunctional way in which the world operates and, more specifically, of the way our country has been governed.
