even if EU nationals were allowed to stay, the cleaners, doctors, nurses ... many have gone or have decided to go. Because they no longer feel welcome, because they do not feel appreciated, because they fear for the future... and because Sterling is much lower than it used to be, and likely to fall much further if Brexit turns into a massive mess. They are here to work hard to send money back for their families, and save to return and be able to buy a house and a better standard of living. They can earn much better money, + greater exchange rates that boosts income even more, and in much much better conditions than in the NHS in other EU countries, or indeed in Switzerland.

The EU is preparing for a shortfall of £73 billion euro's on Brexit, per annum.

A huge amount of extra money is shortly going into the NHS.
EU workers have had assurances that they can stay ( have British workers had that yet, in EU countries?)
It looks as if we will be doing a trade deal with the EU on goods, so drugs come under the ‘goods’ heading.We will not be running short of drugs and cancer treatment will continue.

No money fr NHS and no staff, be they cleaners, nurses or doctors to run it either. And no drugs probably as most come from EU- and no cancer treatment relying on EU too.

We haven't left yet, so how can people say what the money will or won't be used for?!!

I have on several occasions said it is my opinion both Leave and Remain sides have given false information.

It is not the ' domain' of either side.

Over the pst 2 years it's been one of the things repeatedly thrown at Remainers in the 'Remain's lies' category. So why you think it's not in their 'domain' is a mystery to me.

And, when you consider the relatively recent Serb/Croat war the possibilities of civil war (not WWIII) in Europe are not that remote; although diminished by co-operation in a trading bloc.

Yes, the position re 'services' is baffling and very concerning. 50 % of imports, and a huge proportion of taxes (which we need for NHS, Social Services, Education, Army and so much more) come from services.

And as said before, and this I know first hand ... have been preparing for a mass exodus if need be. Frankfurt, where the European Exchange is, Paris, Berlin... will be much better placed to deal with the modern world. The individuals working there, from CEOs, to Senior partners and employees, come from a very multinational background... and a move to Europe would not represent any hardship at all, au contraire. Older kids will go to international bilingual schools with international qualifications, no problem.

Mt Cameron didn't speak of that at all. His angle was 'kept the peace in Europe', which is not a lie. It was our national embarrassment, Boris Johnson, who made the massive leap from 'keeping the peace' to 'World War III'.

They do say that the Devil has all the best tunes... 'WWIII' being much sexier than 'keeping the peace'.

The economic consequences threatened were a bit of overkill, but it's coming true. Despite the rallying cries of our resident Sales Manager the economy is heading inexorably downhill and the fudge that has come out of Chequers this weekend will do nothing to arrest the decline.

What is particularly noticeable is that 'services' are missing from the document. As these comprise almost half our exports to the EU it's rather a glaring omission.

Anyway, it's doubtful if the EU will accept the Chequers document, too much attempted cherry picking, so it's all a bit pointless (yet again)

We're going to end up crashing out with no deal at all or a deal that is so like what we have already (though without any voice) that it makes the whole exercise look like a catastrophic mistake.

The British people voted twice, once in a referendum to leave the EU, then in a General Election when the two main political parties both stood for election to Parliament on a Brexit mandate. The decision to leave the EU by majority vote at the referendum was consolidated at the General Election, since both the Government and Opposition parties both stood on Brexit mandates.
