I am no supporter of Trump, but he was elected democratically
by the people of the US and I am surprised that our capitol city is to be represented to the world by the allowing of such a childish gesture. Is this really representative of how the people of London think and want to be seen on the world stage?
The risk of what the fall out for could be from insulting the President of a nation who is a long term ally seems to be ignored.
Will this really be given permission to float above London.

Yes it has been given permission.
Yes it is a mild representation ofhow the people of Britain think about a man who is racist, homophobic, sexist, Islamophobic, and a terrible businessman.

And the US has only been our ally when it suited them, despite the constant repetition of the phrase.

It might have permission but it is childish in the extreme. America is a strong ally - not just when it suits but all the time . I'd hate to think of what the rest of the world will think of this juvenile gesture.
