Just seen this on the news "Vagina rejuvenating therapies 'pose serious risk'"

I'm both perplexed and dismayed that women are so unhappy with their bodies that they would go to this extreme. What's happened to women that they feel that they have to conform to some kind of "Barbie doll" perfection? I'd be interested to know what you think... for or against.

Just to add to the hilarity and keep it going at the risk of being classed as 'terrible '. But I was thinking, do you think it's were the saying

"Slack Alice " originated from?grin

An old-style Hollywood studio wedding. Rock Hudson was married

Chewbacca Wed 01-Aug-18 19:11:02

Oh grumppa how could you say such a thing? Barbie and Ken got married ages ago. And here's the wedding ceremony that proves it.

I have been informed on good authority that Barbie's Ken is in fact gay, so I don't suppose he has ever been in a position to inspect her assets?

Sorry to be a pedant, but what these misinformed apologies for women are referring to is their vulva if their vagina is on show when they take their knickers off, then they really do need to seek surgical help blush

This is, I think, different from external procedures, such as "Brazilians" where the aim is apparently to "improve" appearance. My understanding is that it is to address internal damage/irregularities that may have arisen through during childbirth and which affect sexual function.

Whatever the reason for women undergoing this procedure, if reputable experts are saying it can, and does, cause further serious damage, then it should be avoided.

From what I've just read, this procedure is different from the mesh procedure used, I believe, to treat prolapse of the womb, which has apparently caused great pain and distress to some women who have had this treatment.

Ilovecheese Wed 01-Aug-18 16:16:30

This is not a new thing, I remember a friend of my mother,s having it done over 40 years ago. (not the mesh, the tightening)

Tweedle24 Wed 01-Aug-18 14:09:32

Did they mean ‘beautifying’ the vagina or, was it referring to the problematic mesh that has been used for pelvic floor repairs? Quite a different matter.

lemongrove Wed 01-Aug-18 13:41:29

It’s certainly strange, but perhaps not done for how it looks
(!) but how it feels?
To enhance sex?

MissA I should never drink tea when reading your postsgrin I shall bill you for the dry cleaning.

goldengirl Wed 01-Aug-18 10:36:56

I think any cosmetic surgery is unnecessary unless it is for medical reasons eg the result of an accident, and as for 'internal' cosmetic surgery.....................!!!! Words fail me! I think it's very sad that people want to go down that route; what will be the effect on them in umpteen years time?

TwiceAsNice Wed 01-Aug-18 10:20:00

Agree not eagle damn iPad

TwiceAsNice Wed 01-Aug-18 10:19:22

Eagle this is ridiculous, not many people see your vagina so what is the point. On a slightly different slant I s reading an article in the weekend papers about women having a mesh insert into their vagina to control stress incontinence and how the mesh has attached itself to internal areas and has caused them huge problems including terrible pain. Apparently it's been said the procedure wasn't researched enough before it became common practice. Now that is a disgrace

FarNorth Wed 01-Aug-18 10:03:09

Ken's prone to exaggerate his own anatomical features too.

Chewbacca Tue 31-Jul-18 23:18:03

That's not what Ken says annodomini! wink

annodomini Tue 31-Jul-18 23:08:18

^ "Barbie doll" perfection?^, OP? As far as anyone knows, Barbie doesn't have a vagina!

Chewbacca Tue 31-Jul-18 21:46:24

Please stop MissA! I'm aching with laughing at your posts at 20.17 and 21.21! The thought of Kim K peering round to try and have a look at her bleached bum is just too much!

You lot have a brilliant slant on life!

MissAdventure Tue 31-Jul-18 21:21:05

A 'right fanny' telling them they need the 'right fanny'.

FarNorth Tue 31-Jul-18 21:17:06

"How do they know?"

Doubtless some guy telling them they need to make improvements.
Or women watching porn themselves and feeling inadequate.
sad

pollyperkins Tue 31-Jul-18 21:07:22

Chewbacca - just read this thread and couldnt stop laughing hysterically at the irradiated vaginas bit. DH wanted to know what was so funny but didnt really get the joke!

MissAdventure Tue 31-Jul-18 20:29:11

A penis enhancement is apparently, literally for show.
It makes no difference to erection size, its only when its just 'hanging around'.

Teetime Tue 31-Jul-18 20:25:18

There are also a lot of men have penis enhancements and penis corrections- I have a friend who is a urologist who has become very rich because of this so its not juts women who want to be perfected.

MissAdventure Tue 31-Jul-18 20:17:27

I dunno, but it you be hard to claim its 'for yourself' considering how difficult it would be to admire it.

BBbevan Tue 31-Jul-18 19:45:38

I remember reading some time ago, that one of the Kardashians had had her anus bleached. The thought makes my eyes water. Why ever would you need to do that !!!

PamelaJ1 Tue 31-Jul-18 19:24:34

So so sad. What is the matter with these poor women.
