Before there are any howls of outrage about Islamophobia, lets wait til we hear which ethnic group the latest Westminster terrorist belongs in, shall we?

Social media as well as brexit has lot to do with poisoning society. (Its like the curates egg!) It's so easy now to target groups, individuals, spread gossip (lies!!) Like you annie, I simply don't know what to believe any more about most things and do you know, I'm beginning not to care! What will be will be for better for worse!

There have always been eegits ,Brexit just gave them a voice. Most people even if they had strange ,biggoted views they kept them to themselves .Not now its all we hear ,clowns spouting off about immigration without a thought of how things can be run without immigrants .
Even newspapers with horrible headlines.Sundays Telegraph had a front page saying Nicola Sturgeon is a liar and a traitor and should be beheaded !! That just whips up hate,I hasten to add they did change it after a shedload of complaints .Maybe they should have remembered Jo Cox before they put it online though

It was there with the Jews, Irish, those from the commonwealth, then the Middle East , we pretend this is a tolerent country, not so.

I agree with anniebach it was there when the Islamists terror cells became active in the UK.

Absolutely Nothing to do with Brexit.

Yes. It was far too complex to be decided on a simple yes, no. It has split families and friends and unearthed a great deal of poison.

I think it has always been there, now we are talking about it as if it only started with the referendum.

Google People's Vote and sign the petition.
They have more than 203 000 votes towards their target of 250 000.
But in answer to your question Yes it has!

According to the media Boris Johnson jibe has prompted calls for inquiry into Tory Islamophobia. We need to reflect upon what is happening in our two main political party’s

The Muslim Council of Britain has urged Theresa May to launch an independent inquiry into Islamophobia in the Conservative party after several of the party’s MPs supported “dehumanising comments” made by Boris Johnson.
The group’s letter to the prime minister said the level of political support for the former foreign secretary’s newspaper column about fully veiled Muslim women had “highlighted the underbelly of Islamophobia” in Tory ranks and demonstrated the need for action.
If there is far more extremism creeping into either party I would find it difficult to support either of them. I believe the UK is a far better place when we are more tolerant and I hate the intolerance that has rapidely developed since the
referendum. I have come round to the opinion mthat Brexit is now pestbsplitting our nation in a way none of us foresaw and we need to,wake up to the damage our politicians and the media are doing in poisoning our once tolerent society. How do we get out of this appalling continuous down spin treating us apart?
Is a National Governmental or a people vote we all accept part of the answers ?
