We were all groups of cells once at the start of our lives.

Anniebach Sun 16-Sept-18 21:49:15

And I told you Trisher

. JRM is not on the hit list

lemongrove Sun 16-Sept-18 21:49:08

You have a strange idea of nice trisher hmm

trisher Sun 16-Sept-18 21:44:30

I know but it is nice to know what ideas you share with JRM Annie

Anniebach Sun 16-Sept-18 18:33:45

We have discussed this when Ireland was voting

trisher Sun 16-Sept-18 18:29:39

Even one whose existence threatens the mother's life and health?

Anniebach Sun 16-Sept-18 17:45:42

Every child has a right to life

trisher Sun 16-Sept-18 17:38:53

I don't think it matters when life begins personally. Although I'm not sure a group of cells can be considered life. What matters to me is that every child is a wanted child.

lemongrove Sun 16-Sept-18 16:53:31

Exactly Baggs and as he is a Catholic that would be what he does believe, but there is no evidence that he woukd attempt to change the laws( he doesn’t have that power anyway.)
I also believe that life begins at conception ( hard not to really, as that is when life does begin) but also think nobody should be protesting outside a clinic.

Baggs Sun 16-Sept-18 16:46:44

trisher, where have you picked up that JRM thinks that "women [should be] refused abortion because of others religious beliefs"? Asking because I've only ever heard him say that he is against abortion in all circumstances because of his religious belief. He has specified that it's a personal belief and that the law will not be changed because most people want abortion to be available in some circumstances.

Anniebach Sun 16-Sept-18 15:19:04

Legal abortion laws will never be scrapped. An interesting, calm discussion though.

nigglynellie Sun 16-Sept-18 15:07:18

Heavens Iam, I don't think any of us on here would endorse that sort of behaviour. I absolutely agree that people are entitled to make up their own minds on this subject and provided they act within the legal guidelines it is entirely their own personal business.

Anniebach Sun 16-Sept-18 14:56:08

I am so against protesting outside abortion clinics

Iam64 Sun 16-Sept-18 14:52:54

I believe life begins at conception. I can see the arguments against abortion and would never try and persuade someone with strongly held anti abortion views to change their minds. I support abortion continuing to be available under the current guidelines. I don't believe its appropriate, fair or humane for anti abortion protesters to shout and harangue women outside abortion clinics. If you feel so strongly, put your energies into developing services that will reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies.

nigglynellie Sun 16-Sept-18 14:19:32

So do I if I'm honest, that's why abortion even during the first three months is such a conundrum. At what stage do you believe life begins trisher? Out of interest question not a pop!

Anniebach Sun 16-Sept-18 13:42:46

I believe life begins at conception trisher

trisher Sun 16-Sept-18 13:29:25

So do you agree with him Annie?

Anniebach Sun 16-Sept-18 13:07:29

I have never heard JRM say abortion shouldn’t be legal, I have heard him say he believe life begins at conception and so he is against abortion.

trisher Sun 16-Sept-18 13:01:11

I didn't say JRM could do anything about abortion Annie I asked if you shared his belief that it shouldn't be legal.
niggly thanks for that answer. Would you like to post something about his other ideas?

Anniebach Sun 16-Sept-18 11:56:47

Thank you Day6, some have asked why MP’s haven’t spoken out, the list shows those who have and the attacks they endured and still are enduring, and those who are facing deselection.

Tom Watson the deputy leader recently said Peter Willsman a member of the NEC who was recorded spewing an anti semetic rant was a loud mouthed bully, Willsman is a close ally of Corbyn. Tom Watson is not giving the deputy leader’s speech at the conference this year, he is to address a fringe meeting instead. The deputy leader always gives a speech at conference , Tom Watson has now been silenced .

So much for democracy and free speech

Day6 Sun 16-Sept-18 11:40:14

Thank you for the list Annie. That anyone, anywhere has compiled a Corbyn Friendly or Hostile to Corbyn list illustrates more than anything that Corbyn's leadership is questionable.

We have read time and time again about hard left Momentum's control of the NEC/party and such a list confirms suspicions that any decent moderate Labour MP who may have reservations about Corbyn's leadership, coterie and comrades has to shut up and put up. It certainly explains why once prominent members have not spoken out.

Anniebach Sun 16-Sept-18 11:38:21

Hope so niggly, thank you x

nigglynellie Sun 16-Sept-18 11:35:19

I meant to add??, but it posted prematurely!!

nigglynellie Sun 16-Sept-18 11:34:16

I misread that annie (!!) and you did say when you are out and about again. Let's hope that's very soon.

Anniebach Sun 16-Sept-18 11:29:38

Not today niggly, have to get over my problems first . ?

Complete rubbish for anyone to say JRM can do a thing about abortion laws, it would have to be passed by Parliament, strange that some think it could be any different .
