I’ve nearly inhaled my lunchtime soup reading this. Apparently this ‘vile shit-stirrer’ aka ‘well-poisoner in chief’ and ‘dick’ has filed for insolvency in a bid to avoid bankruptcy ?

Wish I could post a link to the whole article but just to say ‘nice one Deborah Ross’ you’ve nailed it!

Tell 'em Katy.........tell em as they gasp for air whilst drowning in the sea.
Disgusting.

OldMeg Wed 26-Sept-18 20:24:56

I’d say deliberately offensive Maw She’s toxic!

oldbatty Wed 26-Sept-18 18:03:16

How anybody who describes people as cock roaches and mocks lovely children with red hair has any support is beyond me.

AcornFairy Wed 26-Sept-18 17:30:27

Of course MawBroon, but don't expect that to end the argument.

MawBroon Wed 26-Sept-18 17:27:22

Then free speech also permits those of us who wish to, to opine that much of what Boris, KH etc say is a load of (frequently offensive) b*ll*cks.

AcornFairy Wed 26-Sept-18 17:13:34

Thank goodness for free speech. Tell 'em Katie! twitter.com/KTHopkins/status/1044969298291314688

Luckylegs9 Wed 26-Sept-18 16:30:07

Red haired not surged, but surged sounds good.

Luckylegs9 Wed 26-Sept-18 16:29:35

Thank goodness we are not in police state, that we are still allowed to have differing opinions. Not reading KH I cannot say what I think of her, just her right to say it. I love my darling red surged boy, the fact she doesn't really does not offend me. I think Boris trots out a lot of rubbish but I also happen to agree with a lot of what he says, he opens debates on things that others refuse to confront. I expect any day now we will all be supplied with subjects OK to talk about and what opinions we must have so as to not offend virtually anyone.

Elegran Wed 26-Sept-18 09:02:32

She goes out of her way to offend as many people as possible. I don't think anyone has any reason to complain at how everyone sees her and rush to defend the indefensible. It is exactly as she wants to be seen.

She should be very happy to have achieved her objective.

MawBroon Wed 26-Sept-18 08:58:33

I think it is fair to say that any journalist may be judged by their words in the public domain. KH sets out to be controversial and ideally one would take what she says with a very large pinch of salt. She was not really on my radar until I read something she had said about children with red hair which struck home because I have a gorgeous bright auburn haired grandson of (now) nearly seven - with the sort of hair colour I used to spend a fortune trying to achieve at the hairdresser’s.
Her patronising and cruel words
“Ginger babies, just like real babies but so much harder to love” just made my (protective granny) blood boil on behalf of “carrot tops” everywhere. angry

AcornFairy Wed 26-Sept-18 08:47:16

How self righteous! Presumably you know her personally and better than the rest of us?!

OldMeg Wed 26-Sept-18 07:40:50

You haven’t read her or know much about her obviously.

Luckylegs9 Tue 25-Sept-18 21:45:15

What an unpleasant post. I don't read or know much at all about Katy Hopkins and you can disagree 100% with her views, I do not read them, I do find it hard to see however! how anyone can be the evil person portrayed and that she is much loved by leavers, that is such a sweeping and incorrect statement, more or less saying that leavers share her views and opinions, if that isn't judgemental and incorrect, I don't know what is, just what you say she us, she doesnt speak for me, I speak for myself. If she has no redeeming qualities I feel sorry for her, perhaps she may reflect now on her views.

I just don't understand the cornfield thing at all.

Sharp bits of corn sticking into you and the possibility of a few mice around - not to mention insects

Not for me!

I was, of course alluding to the comment about Katy in the cornfield.
I've no idea whether her 'partner in crime' was separated or happily married but enjoying a romp with a willing accomplice, nor do I know whether Katy herself was in a relationship at that time.
I was saying that none of us know whether any GNs have acted similarly...with a man they knew to be married or were innocent of his status. How many women know the REAL reason for their new partner's divorce ie: both sides of the story?
K wouldn't have been the first nor the last to have a fling with a married man.

Spot on pronunciation jalima !!!

M0nica Fri 21-Sept-18 19:49:15

Pamela is the mother of India (the person). Perhaps family connections (!!) suggested the name.

varian Fri 21-Sept-18 19:46:12

"Her supporters are legion".

Trump likes KH. Probably Putin does too, or would if he knew who she was, Nigel Farage, Marine le Penn, Steve Bannon, Aarron Banks, the guy who owns Cambridge Analytica and all the other nasty characters who have poisoned to minds of the readers of the right-wing tabloids and got us into this awful mess.

Jalima1108 Fri 21-Sept-18 19:35:17

Perhaps you'd all also like to reveal the names you've chosen for your own offspring so they can be open to ridicule online if others think they are silly!
but most of us are not seeking publicity hmm

I suppose there are many on here who are now with someone else's (ex) husband.
Not that he ever mentioned it Gabriella, but he had been engaged before I met him and I had said 'yes' to someone else.
Water under the bridge.

Jalima1108 Fri 21-Sept-18 19:32:16

Yes, and a sportsman called Jack Russell.

MawBroon Fri 21-Sept-18 19:29:11

And wasn’t there a rugby player called Austin Healey (sp?}

Stansgran Fri 21-Sept-18 19:23:57

I've never come across Katie Hopkins( sheltered life) but I have a girl( old lady ) crush on Deborah Ross. She once wrote that no man ever woke up and thought he should put on hurty hurty shoes- talking about stilettos. If we could get her on to men identifying as women to get into women's gaols and their attacks on women being counted as female statistics we will improve things. Apologies for derail but Times female writers are superb.

lilihu Fri 21-Sept-18 19:23:27

“her supporters are legion“
I can only hope that those misguided people have not actually read or heard the cruel, racist, bigoted, often vile, often totally wrong comments she has made publicly.
She has made these obnoxious statements to garner attention and make money. Horrible, insensitive, nasty person. I dislike her comments as much as Deborah Ross does.

AcornFairy Fri 21-Sept-18 18:49:06

Fortunately for those of us here in the UK we have the privilege of free speech. Katie Hopkins shoots from the hip and doesn't always get it right. But at least she has the guts to say what a lot of mealy-mouthed citizens do actually agree with. Her detractors may appear to be in the majority on this forum but her supporters are legion and will miss her if she is gagged.

Jalima1108 Fri 21-Sept-18 18:46:36

mcem the emphasis in Catriona was on the 'o'
whereas my Scottish friend whose DD has that name, pronounced it more like Catrina, kind of skipping over the 'o' but it was still there iyswim.
