I LOVE IT!

lemongrove Tue 04-Dec-18 20:54:11

Jalima perhaps he was overcome by her beauty, she’s certainly a knockout.Mind you, it’s a shame she didn’t say to him ‘after you then’ when asked if she would twerk.
What an idiot that man is, what nationality was he? Not all countries are as 21st century as we are in that dept.

maryeliza54 Tue 04-Dec-18 20:43:43

Jal absolutely agree - what is it with certain men who simply cannot behave like grown ups in the presence of women - especially successful ones. My theory is that they are no good in bed and know it

Jalima1108 Tue 04-Dec-18 20:30:34

NF?

Whoever NF is - and just as bad as that idiot who made a stupid comment to the top professional female footballer in the world when she received her award.

maryeliza54 Tue 04-Dec-18 20:26:56

I heard CD - I really didn’t think she sounded ‘upset’ at all. I thought she sounded professional, measured, sensible and thoughtful. What made me want to throw up was that disgusting NF who twice made a pathetic stupid schoolboy joke about not wanting to get to close to her chest to read the badge she was wearing. FFS what is it with this type of man from this sort of class, background, colour and age. In my dreams she would have accidentally floored him. He’s a slimy pathetic toe rag

Jalima1108 Tue 04-Dec-18 20:01:27

I thought it might end in tears ….

EllanVannin Tue 04-Dec-18 19:44:39

It's started already--------police officer under investigation for " deliberately ?" knocking a fleeing thief off his bike.
I thought this was the plan ?

Iam64 Tue 04-Dec-18 18:50:40

I'm becoming a fan of Cressida Dick. She seems calm, honest and genuine. We need more like her.

Jalima1108 Tue 04-Dec-18 12:46:49

We had best not send them off to the Gulag Archipelago then.

Fennel Tue 04-Dec-18 12:41:55

Did anyone listen to LBC Nick Ferrari this morning?
If we don't live in London I don't think we can imagine the size of the problem there. It's become a craze, lot's of fun, with even young children on bikes involved. Making a lot of money.
So it seems that even knocking off bikes etc is still not the answer.
I think it was Cressida Dick who was interviewed, she was obviously very upset.

That's the way to go to get on in life then ?

I just wish that I could save up out of my pension !

MaizieD Sun 02-Dec-18 18:47:30

It did occur to me that, however daft or feckless one might think her for having 8 children, having got them she would have had to have earned a great deal more than £500 a week just to be able to pay for childcare for them. And that's before paying for food, clothes, housing and heating...

Jalima1108 Sun 02-Dec-18 18:42:15

I wonder if she is seeking the publicity because she wants to get on 'reality tv'?
There would be a lucrative living if she did, listening to somebody or other from Essex the other day he seems to have done OK from just coming across as dim.

She could be more interesting.

MaizieD Sun 02-Dec-18 18:20:51

hmm thanks for the link, petra. Unfortunately my antivirus programme thinks it's a risky site and suggests that I don't go there...

But I goggled her. What an 'interesting' lady..

Here's a safe link about the boob job

www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/benefits-mum-eight-marie-buchan-15493913

And she's been in the news before:

There you go. A page of search results about her:

maryeliza54 Sun 02-Dec-18 18:04:03

The fact that your niece can’t afford that is in no way an argument against but I would argue that long term your niece probably has better prospects and a sensible number of children and the children have a father. I think boob jobs, eight children, going to the papers are not things to be praised or emulated but I’m not going to criticise the benefit system because I don’t like her choices - unless I knew the children were suffering.

petra Sun 02-Dec-18 17:57:26

I'm sure my niece who works 3 12 hr shifts a week as a nurse with 2 children and who's husband who is out of the house at 06.30 every morning would love £2.500 to splurge on anything they wanted.angry

maryeliza54 Sun 02-Dec-18 17:55:51

Personally I think she was really daft to go the papers - but there you go

maryeliza54 Sun 02-Dec-18 17:54:38

The tax payer is not funding it - she apparently has saved from her benefits over the last 2 and a half years and done things like car boot sales to raise the money. It’s her money and her choice - I suppose you don’t think that people on benefits should have a drink, smoke, buy Christmas presents either? Would you rather they didn’t get cash but vouchers instead?

petra Sun 02-Dec-18 17:53:00

Don't know why that didn't work. But it's all out there for any of the dis- believers.

petra Sun 02-Dec-18 17:51:32

Here she ishttps://www.briefreport.co.uk/news/benefits-mum-of-eight-marie-buchan-set-to-fly-to-turkey-for-2-500-boob-job-6032763.html

EllanVannin Sun 02-Dec-18 17:47:03

Then there's taking the pi55 Jalima.

MaizieD Sun 02-Dec-18 17:46:06

If anyone thinks that the taxpayer via the State should be funding private 'boob jobs' then they need a reality check

We know absolutely nothing about this story, Jalima apart from the fact that GG read it on the internet. We don't even know if it's true. She's given no link to it so we can't check it out ourselves. I think you're all being a bit premature in your conclusions.

maryeliza54 Sun 02-Dec-18 17:44:53

There is always an agenda with this type of story but you know what if every single word was true so what - if she’s entitled to what she’s getting then ( whilst I think that sort of surgery is awful) it’s up to her how she manages her budget as long as she doesn’t risk the roof over her children’s heads or their health.

Jalima1108 Sun 02-Dec-18 17:42:08

If anyone thinks that the taxpayer via the State should be funding private 'boob jobs' then they need a reality check.

Of course, some posters then have to assume that anyone who thinks that also thinks that anyone on benefits is a 'scrounger' and should be scrubbing pavements with a toothbrush.

Saying that loses the argument for a compassionate welfare system so that no-one (especially a child) goes without the basics for a decent life with food, clothes and decent shelter.

MaizieD Sun 02-Dec-18 17:38:10

I think I'd like to know the full details of 'something someone read on the internet' before starting or joining in a fight over it.

It sounds very dubious to me.
