I specifically said that I did not like Trump but that America is more than just this person.
Also wondering as the thread is about Border walls, why we can't compare what America is doing with other countries.
Or do we have to stick rigidly to knocking America?

It might be a lovely idea if you were to start a thread about other walls so we can be educated. You could start with The Great Wall of China and then, for us ignorant Picts, perhaps a passing reference to Hadrian’s Wall. If you wish it to be truly eclectic you might want to include Wall Street which I believe ‘not doing great’ (to use the parlance of your esteemed Donald). Then there’s the Wailing Wall and the Berlin Wall. I think there might be or have been armed guards on the latter too, but I’m sure you’ll be able to put me right on that.

You're probably also ignorant about the double 20 foot fences topped with razor wire, built by Spain to protect the areas they own in North Africa, from illegal immigrants (Cueta and Melilla being two of them).
The fences with regular watch posts, has a road running between them for Police patrols, underground cables provide spotlights, noise and movement sensors and video cameras to a central control booth.
Also Hungary built a 13ft double border barrier on its border with Serbia and Croatia in 2015.
Which is unbelievably 325 miles long.
What I'm wondering Anja is why you have not mentioned these border fences, much closer to home, while ranting about America.

My friend lives in Gibralter and the Spanish border is manned by armed guards.

I'm not really bothered what America does about its borders, that's up to them and their Government.
Or for that matter, China, Russia, Turkey, Japan or any other country.
I don't think that there are many Countries in the World where you can just wander in and out of without customs or border controls.
