I think we may be referring to different polls, Annie but it is clear that most LP members want to remain in the EU, as do most LP MPs and most LP voters.

The same is true of the majority of the UK population now so the current "will of the people" is without a doubt to remain in the EU. That is why the leavers oppose a Peoples Vote on Theresa May's Withdrawl Agreement.

The poll was labour members not the entire British voters

Less than a quarter of LP members were asked, but this exceptionally large poll was a representative selection of the UK populations.

Polling is a well developed science and most opinion polls are based on samples of 1000 or thereabouts so have a larger margin of error. This poll of 25,000 i s a much more accurate reflection of the views of British voters.

I think you gov polled 25,000 , party membership is 124,000 so only a quarter were asked , this will put him in a tizz

There is an article by Andrew Rawnsley in today's Observer on just this issue. JC made much of giving control back to the members. They want a second vote.

According to the Emily Thornberry, the reason Jeremy Corbyn did not deal effectively with anti-Semitism was because he was too upset by it.

Good to know that if he becomes PM we will take such a tender heart to (not) deal with difficult problems: Novichok, The murder of Khashoggi, immigrants in the English Channel. These issues will no doubt upset him so much that he willbe unable to function.

Labour will fall behind the Liberal Democrats if Jeremy Corbyn helps Theresa May secure a Brexit deal, according to the latest YouGov poll.

The new survey shows Labour would slump to third place, on 22 per cent behind the Liberal Democrats on 26 per cent, should the party support the Conservatives in pushing a deal through parliament.

The poll, commissioned by the People’s Vote campaign, suggests millions of young people could desert the party over the issue. Labour’s support among 18 to 29-year-olds would be halved from 60 per cent to just 33 per cent if the party backs a compromise deal to leave the EU.

Those who voted for Mr Corbyn’s party at last year’s general election and also voted Remain in 2016 said they are more likely to switch to the Lib Dems (49 per cent) than vote Labour (41 per cent) at the next election.

The survey suggests there is little downside to Labour backing a second referendum. Among Labour supporters another vote is massively popular, with 77 per cent in favour and just 23 per cent against.

Interesting that the UK's is among the least generous in the EU.

I thought that the EU controlled everything we do and didn't allow us to make our own laws. So why is every EU country different?

The UK has the 2nd lowest number of bank holidays within the EU. We get 8 bank holidays per year, plus a minimum of 20 days paid holiday.
In Finland, they get a minimum of 20 days paid holiday, plus 15 bank holidays per year.
Spain has 20 days minimum holiday, plus 14 bank holidays per year.
Austria has 20 days minimum holiday plus 12 bank holidays.
All of the others have 11 days paid bank holidays per year, plus a minimum of 20 days holidays.
Only Hungary, the Netherlands and the UK have as few as 8.

Thanks maryeliza for clarifying the holiday issue. Same goes for pensions and other so called benefits, the minimum is offered here. It's yet another reason to Remain.

GG the 4 week holiday entitlement in the EU does not include bank holidays. The 28 days in the UK does include our bank holidays so we offer the minimum here and are not more generous
