Annie in response to your comment above, obviously we have no right at all to demand how others react to a death, but I ... and many others... felt they didn't show any respect. That's just my personal opinion and I am expecting you to disagree.

And those boys should not have been made to walk in procession behind her coffin. As Prince Harry said last year "No 12 year old should ever have been made to do that!"

As for talking to the press, how does the PP fan club feel about the barrister who pulled him out and his innumerable interviews? One quote today ‘ I had PP’s blood on my hands’. Should no one involved have spoken to the press - maybe whenever there’s a brush between a member of the RF and the law, the Official Secrets Act should be brought into play. FGS

And if they had don the the decent human thing and contacted her what would have been wrong with that being splashed all over the front page? A photo of the bunch of flowers, a photo of a handwritten note hoping she is well -bloody hell we have enough about the wonderful charity things the RF do splashed all over the front pages when we are told what they said to a sick child on a hospital visit etc.

Yes anniebach the press would have hunted her down anyway and if the RF had behaved properly maybe she wouldn’t have felt the need to do this. You may not be aware that she probably hadn’t got press secretaries, a press office, a lady in waiting, a page, a chauffeur, a maid, a dresser , a housekeeper and do on ad nauseum to cater fir her every need. These women were forced into the public eye the minute the self entitled git aka PP drove out onto the A road from a B road when he shouldn’t have done and when the RF failed to behave appropriately afterwards?

No surprise the women has given her story to a tabloid. No wonder the RF has not contacted her it would be “splashed” all over the front page!!!

Is there no one within the RF and their overblown overstaffed entourage who can see the case for help (practical, emotional, financial)being made available as necessary to both these women? It’s not as though the RF have to worry as to whether their insurance company will cover any of this. These women through no fault of their own have been thrown into the public eye and cannot retreat behind their gated and walled estate with their dozens of staff to carry out their every whim. They need support now not months down the courts/insurance claims process.

As the lady with the broken wrist says of PP wanting to keep on driving, "What about my independence?" She has lost hers for a couple of months now.

Thanks for that link Annie. I prefer to have a slimmed-down RF than a president, but I've never liked PP's abrasive and thoughtless attitude towards people which he has shown all his life on Royal walkabouts, and I think his latest behaviour is a disgrace.

Like the time when Diana died and the RF's initial behaviour over that, this will be another nail in their coffin if they are not careful.

I think there should be a day when ONLY people over 90 are allowed to drive. Then there would be no accidents.
I'm speaking from the heart as I have an elderly relative who has very reluctantly stopped driving. He failed the sight test. I'm sure he'd love to take the car out one last time.

Good grief, I have just read her story in the Sunday Express, she has a broken wrist so her son has to help wash and dress her , she is considering a private prosecution. Seems now her car was hit by his .

It must be hard to give up such a large piece of his independence.

My father nearly killed my mother and I,when he was over 90. He pulled out of a turning having misjudged the speed of an oncoming car. He reluctantly listened to reason and gave up.

It does seem time for PPh to do the same, with grace. He can kill himself but not others.

When I saw that stupid phrase ‘an exchange of well-wishes’ I knew then that he hadn’t spoken to them directly. Apparently a message was passed on by police liaison. The RF really are a crock of shit

Haven't followed the whole thread but I think it's an embarrassment to the Royal Family. He gets a new car (JLR pr stunt) clearly shouldn't be driving at his age. I'm more than 30yrs younger but accept on my much travelled routes in winter the sun causes an issue so adjust my driving/awareness appropriately.
