If anybody else turned their Land Rover over at 97, would you expect them to be allowed to keep their licence?

I can't believe how this lady is acting. And I haven't heard of anyone writing a letter of apology after an accident. guilty or not.
Its all so ridiculous. Accidents happen all the time.

Nonnie Sun 27-Jan-19 11:54:05

Gosh Parsley I didn't know that. Do they have a letter of authenticity [grin}

NanaandGrampy Sun 27-Jan-19 11:47:13

I totally agree with you GrannyGravy !!

If I had an accident whether it was my fault or not I wouldn't complain that the other party hadn't called me to see how I am ….. that's ridiculous. And now he has written a letter she has sold the contents to the highest bidder - needy or not - that smacks of wanting her minute of fame.

Anniebach Sun 27-Jan-19 11:46:26

I am sorry she was hurt, but it was her choice to give interviews to the press and on tv and now have a private letter published on the front page of a newspaper

I feel sorry for this woman. She is in this situation through no fault of her own and she is being led down a path that she may well regret later. I don’t know her or her circumstances but I can understand how she may well have been caught up in the moment. I can’t criticise her for that. It was a horrible accident and everyone concerned must be still badly shaken. The debris from the crash is being sold on eBay.

I do understand it, people do now lay flowers following a tragedy , the death of a young man is a tragedy . A fractured wrist is painful and inconvenient for a while but not a tragedy.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 27-Jan-19 11:20:26

I totally get laying flowers as a tribute and mark of respect, the young mans sister visited he football ground yesterday and I pray she found comfort in the tributes to her brother.

Nonnie Sun 27-Jan-19 11:18:45

Yes, Annie and I don't think I put it very well. Just saying another thing I don't understand. Life is puzzling me a lot at the moment.

Anniebach Sun 27-Jan-19 11:08:39

Is there not a difference in laying flowers in tribute to the dead to posing for the papers with a fractured wrist ?

Nonnie Sun 27-Jan-19 11:00:26

I'm not so sure we should blame this woman for going to the media. I like to think I wouldn't do it but they could be paying her money she really needs. Also she won't have had media training and I doubt anything in her life has prepared her for this situation. So many situations where we can't know how we would react because until it happens to us.

A similar thing I don't understand is all those tributes at Cardiff football ground for a player who hadn't yet started training for them let alone played a match. Florists must be pleased.

Jalima1108 Sun 27-Jan-19 10:46:16

I wonder how the other woman, the driver, feels about this - embarrassed at her passenger embracing the limelight?

Anniebach Sun 27-Jan-19 10:42:21

A private letter is a private letter , thankfully it was typed or hand writing experts would pounce

GrannyGravy13 Sun 27-Jan-19 10:33:54

I do think that continually “blabbing” to the press to ensure her 10 minutes of fame is extremely crass.

Anniebach Sun 27-Jan-19 10:05:33

Good grief, that woman is now on the front page displaying the letter, gross

Anniebach Sun 27-Jan-19 09:53:18

Probably the insurance has been sorted so he is now able to speak.

Grammaretto Sun 27-Jan-19 09:47:49

I see PP has at last written, or at least signed, an apology.
Well done. I think someone in the royal household is keeping a close eye on here

Anniebach Sat 26-Jan-19 20:09:47

Surely not King Edwards ?

mumofmadboys Sat 26-Jan-19 20:02:06

Potatoes are immigrants!

Anniebach Sat 26-Jan-19 17:21:52

So you call Dianne Abbott, Diane the Jamaican?

PECS Sat 26-Jan-19 16:40:29

Me! it is used regularly.. think it started yrs ago in Private Eye.

Anniebach Sat 26-Jan-19 16:22:20

Calling the man .phil the Greek was offensive but I don’t believe the poster meant to be offensive

It was another poster who said she refers to him as Phil the Greek .

Ilovecheese Sat 26-Jan-19 16:18:21

The joke that was posted was not offensive, it was just a parody of so many of the Daily Mail articles which really are offensive. But I am sure that those who complained were already aware of that.

Anniebach Sat 26-Jan-19 16:04:45

Obviously PECS

PECS Sat 26-Jan-19 15:55:32

You don't have to explain racism to me!

Anniebach Sat 26-Jan-19 15:09:19

Sorry Sparkle. X
