After reading the news that Nigel is about to throw (or hurl) his hat into the ring yet again, I just hope that he chooses his cohorts more wisely this time.
He's the only one who can sort the wheat from the chaff as far as Brexiteers go and I for one, hope that he helps us to weigh anchor and see off all comers.
What say you?

Oh Weebles bring back memories of DSiL trying to explain the weight distribution of a ship and why these massive, top heavy cruise liners don't topple over and sink.

He demonstrated with a weeble in a washing up bowl.

After the second bottle of wine I think I got it. grin

Sorry folks.
Weebles were much later.
I was talking about my own childhood and the years 1949-53. It was a basic celluloid sphere with a spherical head and painted features. smile

Weebles wobble but they don't fall down!

Describes NF very well indeed.
And, of course, several others.

Many years ago, too many for some to remember, there was a certain bath you, a little round character which, no matter how many times you pushed him under the water, always bobbed up again
In that regard, NF and I have some similarity.

[grin{grin

So it's OK to take a salary from an organisation you don't believe in- that's being clear and honest is it? It's easy to answer questions when you know there is B*** all chance of ever having to put anything you say into practice.

dbDB77 Mon 21-Jan-19 12:01:08

I agree with merlotgran - I don't like NF but I respect the fact that he is clear & precise in his views and actually answers the questions put to him - compare this with Corbyn's answers on Brexit - "everything's on the table" confused

We loved Weebles and so do my GCs!
As for Farage does anyone really believe this man, who pretended to be a man of the people, but was educated at a public school where he became a supporter of Enoch Powell. who is anti the EU, but of his 4 children 2 are entitled to Irish passports, and 2 to German passports (so no worries about leaving for them). It's amazing how many people fell for this duplicitous, self-aggrandising, con man!

GrannyGravy13 Mon 21-Jan-19 10:20:18

GabriellaG54 The toys were "weebles" The slogan we wobble but won't fall down!!! Also available as bath toys.

varian
I think your description of NF could apply to many who sit in both houses.

varian Mon 21-Jan-19 09:38:45

Self serving, vain, corrupt, racist liar

Bridgeit Mon 21-Jan-19 09:38:26

You are right Petra, but then he stands back smirking at the mayhem ( excuse the pun) that he causes, whilst feathering his own nest!

petra Mon 21-Jan-19 09:09:04

Love him or loathe him, he did what he said he as going do: unlike most politicians angry

Anja Mon 21-Jan-19 08:24:49

He does come across as all those things Jalima

Jalima1108 Sun 20-Jan-19 23:53:24

during the Brexit campaign he was good at putting his point across whether or not you agreed with him.
I think that's right merlotgran

He came across as affable, friendly, articulate and has quite a pleasant speaking voice in fact - if you disregard what he is saying.

paddyann Sun 20-Jan-19 23:37:46

If there is a god can he please make sure Farage keeps out of politics or at least out of the current fiasco being played out in WM .They can make a big enough mess without him just imagine how much worse he'd make it.

GabriellaG54 Sun 20-Jan-19 22:37:27

* you toy.

GG on the contrary you are too obvious.

merlotgran Sun 20-Jan-19 21:26:46

I don't like the man but have to admit that during the Brexit campaign he was good at putting his point across whether or not you agreed with him. He was the only politician who actually answered the questions put to him rather than going round in circles trying to evade them.

GabriellaG54 Sun 20-Jan-19 21:21:21

I agree with a lot of what is said about him but, sometimes people we don't necessarily 'like', indeed we may loathe, have the ability to do things of which we approve.

sassenach512 Sun 20-Jan-19 21:10:28

Sorry but I look at this twerp and think dodgy second-hand car dealer. Where was he when UKIP started to implode? oh yes, in the US licking Trump's boots

M0nica Sun 20-Jan-19 20:54:12

No, he will be back. He cannot live with out the oxygen of constant publicity

GabriellaG54 Sun 20-Jan-19 20:24:23

M0nica
It might be his final Farewell Tour. grin

GabriellaG54 Sun 20-Jan-19 20:22:18

Anja
Do you have a problem understanding my OP?
I can, if you wish, couch it in words of one syllable.
Don't be shy. Just ask. wink

GabriellaG54 Sun 20-Jan-19 20:19:18

Behind Brexit.
I read that he's starting up a new party to free us from the claws of the EU. hmm
