I am the same as dirgni. Our small market town has now no banks, just a post office, though there are mobile banks which are supposed to come but they are unreliable. However a short bus ride away there are several banks.
I do most of my financial transactions online without any problems. The only time I had a problem was my own fault, and Santander were brilliant at sorting it out in my favour.
Most people should be quite capable of online banking, safely, especially if you do it at home, not on public WiFi.
But it is quite wrong in my opinion, for the last bank in a market town to close.
