My apologies maryeliza I keep mixing you up with MaizieD for some bizarre reason! There was I thinking MD had praised me! I should have known it couldn’t ever happen. ?? Sorry.
MANY APOLOGIES!! You are absolutely correct in saying neither Luciana Berger nor Chuka Umunna could have voted for the Iraq war. Somehow the errors crept in when I copied my text. Thanks for checking! No-one needs inaccuracies!
They did, though, vote against an investigation into the Iraq War, and, specifically, into alleged discrepancies in Tony Blair's statements when he was PM.
Will you correct your facts because they are incorrect.
As Maryelise always tells us it’s best to check your facts before posting them. Honest mistakes are completely understandable of course but need correcting.
And Urmstongran, I agree with your post too. This breakaway bunch offer no hope to traditional Labour voters either. They are lukewarm Labour Remainers who want us shackled to Brussels. If Corbyn had any control Labour would be pushing to leave, he'd be standing by his long held principles, and he at least would represent something. He is an enigma, and that is the polite description!
Chukka Umunna got his nose put out of joint when his People's Vote scheme didn't take off. If his constituents want him to continue to represent them they should be asked by means of a by-election. Same for the others.
Exactly strong proper labour leaders with principals and a strong moral and ethical backbone.
Kinnock kicked out militant tendancy. Proper brave good labour man. John smith died very sadly. Brown suffered from his personality but he is a good decent labour man.
