A small number of back benchers will announce they are leaving the party this morning.

Chuka Umunna is one who may be among them.

EllanVannin Mon 18-Feb-19 20:55:56

The man's not right in the head.

Ffs!!! Seriously Hatton back?

EllanVannin Mon 18-Feb-19 20:51:35

I wondered how long it would be before Derek Hatton joined the rogues gallery.

Urmstongran Mon 18-Feb-19 20:47:24

Oh no Anniebach❗️ Things have just gotten worse....

Anniebach Mon 18-Feb-19 20:43:20

It has taken Corbyn 30 years but today he has Derek Hatton back in the party , cause for celebration for the far left trots

EllanVannin Mon 18-Feb-19 20:41:47

I have a Jewish background.

Urmstongran Mon 18-Feb-19 20:27:00

The kinder, gentler politics . Corbyn led the way

POGS Mon 18-Feb-19 20:17:06

I remember I started a thread called ' Could Labour Split' back in 2016.

I remember I started a thread called Anti semitism in Labour and Universities back in 2016.

3 years later I have my answers. Fair enough only a handful of MP's have left over time and 7 more today.

Anti semitism became a bigger issue in Labour than even I thought it would ever have become back in 2016 .

there was all hell let lose in the PLP meeting this evening, Ian Lavery was called ‘ one of doubtful parentage ‘

kinder, gentler politics in action.

grannypauline Mon 18-Feb-19 20:07:51

MANY APOLOGIES!! You are absolutely correct in saying neither Luciana Berger nor Chuka Umunna could have voted for the Iraq war. Somehow the errors crept in when I copied my text. Thanks for checking! No-one needs inaccuracies!

They did, though, vote against an investigation into the Iraq War, and, specifically, into alleged discrepancies in Tony Blair's statements when he was PM.

Anniebach Mon 18-Feb-19 20:00:12

I doubt very much he will resign ,

Mycatisahacker Mon 18-Feb-19 19:42:42

I wonder when Tom Watson will resign?

Urmstongran Mon 18-Feb-19 19:06:03

Good post Urm

Will you correct your facts because they are incorrect.

As Maryelise always tells us it’s best to check your facts before posting them. Honest mistakes are completely understandable of course but need correcting.

Day6 Mon 18-Feb-19 18:55:16

And Urmstongran, I agree with your post too. This breakaway bunch offer no hope to traditional Labour voters either. They are lukewarm Labour Remainers who want us shackled to Brussels. If Corbyn had any control Labour would be pushing to leave, he'd be standing by his long held principles, and he at least would represent something. He is an enigma, and that is the polite description!

Chukka Umunna got his nose put out of joint when his People's Vote scheme didn't take off. If his constituents want him to continue to represent them they should be asked by means of a by-election. Same for the others.

Mycatisahacker Mon 18-Feb-19 18:52:01

Anniebach

Exactly strong proper labour leaders with principals and a strong moral and ethical backbone.

Kinnock kicked out militant tendancy. Proper brave good labour man. John smith died very sadly. Brown suffered from his personality but he is a good decent labour man.

Jalima1108 Mon 18-Feb-19 18:49:01

actually, so do I
(see other thread)

Anniebach Mon 18-Feb-19 18:48:57

And Chuka who it is claimed voted for the Iraq War 7 years before he too became an MP

Jalima1108 Mon 18-Feb-19 18:48:29
