......ah, but that’s exactly what she does do Kandinsky
Or at least, tries to.

Kandinsky Thu 21-Mar-19 10:45:35

And point 2) is just an opinion not a fact.

Kandinsky Thu 21-Mar-19 10:44:32

But varian, millions of people still want to leave the EU despite all you say. You can’t just dismiss these people with a nonchalant wave of the hand.

varian Thu 21-Mar-19 10:40:01

Why should anyone accept it?

We now know two things which were not apparent three years ago-

1 - The leave vote was achieved by foriegn interference, cheating, lies and illegal overspending. The only reason it has not been annulled by the Electoral Commission is because it was only advisory. If it had been mandatory it would certainly have been annulled.

2 - Any kind of brexit would hurt our country in many ways - badly damage our economy so many would lose their jobs and most people would become poorer, endanger our security, deprive our public services of much needed funding and reduce our standing in the world.

Knowing and understanding these two things, it is our duty, and especially the duty of our MPs, not to allow it to happen.

Sadly Rosie....they won’t accept it.You would think nearly three years later they would, but no!

Got to the point where I was asked to confirm my email address before it crashed, will try again later.

Mamissimo Thu 21-Mar-19 10:21:18

Signed and written to MP

RosieLeah Thu 21-Mar-19 09:57:42

We're leaving the EU, folks...accept it.

Kandinsky Thu 21-Mar-19 09:55:33

They’ll take no notice of it.
Once they’ve sorted out the fake emails, people who aren’t eligible to vote anyway, foreign nationals etc etc the true figure will be half.
Not that they’d take any notice of it anyway.

Caledonai14 Thu 21-Mar-19 09:41:56

Signed. It's at 627,442.

eazybee Thu 21-Mar-19 09:24:19

Well of course there is, because a section of the community refuse to accept the majority result of a democratic vote.

Mamie Thu 21-Mar-19 09:20:08

I think the website has crashed NotSpaghetti. Probably the weight of people trying to sign. I am reading of so many people saying they will now be joining the march on Saturday too.

NotSpaghetti Thu 21-Mar-19 09:15:46

EllanVannin it is already up. 619,296 signatures as I type.

Badenkate Thu 21-Mar-19 09:07:22

After last night's speech, I've signed it, even though I had promised myself I'd ignore the whole thing from now on.

EllanVannin Thu 21-Mar-19 09:03:44

When the petition is up and working I'll sign it.

The government repeatedly claims exiting the EU is 'the will of the people'. Well now there is a petition demonstrating the strength of public support for revoking article 50!
