The government repeatedly claims exiting the EU is 'the will of the people'. Well now there is a petition demonstrating the strength of public support for revoking article 50!

Dear Varian I wish that you would write in the simplest possible way how Putin helped to make the Brexit .

I voted Stay and would do so again.

A group of Brexiteers have failed in a bid to discredit support for stopping Brexit. .

The group Britain Bites Back ran a Facebook poll asking followers to reveal how they would vote if there is a new EU referendum.

Let’s prove how pointless that petition really is,” wrote the group, referencing the Revoke Article 50 petition which now has six million signatures.
But like Brexit itself, things did not go to plan, when the groups followers lost control of the process.

More than 165,000 people voted with at least 85% of voters backing remaining in the European Union.

"I voted brexit and would do so again" - at least 4 posters here that Mr Putin would be proud of.

Maybe it's because, whatever your personal feelings, they believe Brexit would be bad for the country.

Urmstongran Fri 29-Mar-19 21:01:42

I’m with you Dontaskme

I voted Brexit and would again.
Bring it on.

Sadly we have a HoC with only about 160 MP’s who feel the same as us. The other 390 are batting for the other side. No wonder Brexit is so very hard. And it’s SO frustrating!

out we go leavers be proud

Kapitan Fri 29-Mar-19 20:20:43

Better to clutch pearls than to cast them.

mcem Fri 29-Mar-19 20:11:44

Previous posters kapitan but if you choose to wear/clutch pearls I have no problem with that!

mcem Fri 29-Mar-19 20:10:28

Rather busy now so will leave you to clutch your pearls!

Kapitan Fri 29-Mar-19 20:09:40

mcem. I thought your 19:34:11 comment was ambiguous. Thank you for clarifying that you do not believe I am thick and stupid and bigoted. I don't expect the Trump hat will fit you as being a remainer you are obviously neither bald or fat.

mcem Fri 29-Mar-19 20:09:19

At 18.15 I referred to "a significant number". At no time have I said all brexit supporters. At no time have I said he is representative of all brexit voters.
Not a good idea to generalise from the particular.

Given the context, and reading earlier relevant posts, it seems reasonable to flag up an example of the type of person under discussion.

The constant juvenile and offensive insults made by some remainers to leavers is becoming very tiresome.

Just scroll by, it just shows their prejudice.

Smileless2012 Fri 29-Mar-19 19:55:44

Same here Dontaskmesmile

Dontaskme Fri 29-Mar-19 19:52:26

I voted Brexit and would again.
Bring it on

Smileless2012 Fri 29-Mar-19 19:48:28

You may well consider the gentleman interviewed to be lacking in intelligence mcem but why assume that he is representative of all who voted for Brexit?

The constant juvenile and offensive insults made by some remainers to leavers is becoming very tiresome.

mcem Fri 29-Mar-19 19:47:02

kapitan it is clear that I was using paddyanne's quote in the context of a man being interviewed during this evening's demo.
However, if the Trump supporter cap fits...........

mcem Fri 29-Mar-19 19:43:11

Then that serves to reinforce my point that the gentleman interviewed on the demo must indeed be thick since he wasn't supporting the UK at all!
"This should have been an amazing day for England!"

Kapitan Fri 29-Mar-19 19:41:50

mcem. For the avoidance of doubt, are you calling me thick and bigoted?

Smileless2012 Fri 29-Mar-19 19:38:02

Brexit supporters do take "pride in the fact that they live and support the UK" mcem.

mcem Fri 29-Mar-19 19:34:11

Of the brexit supporter who is thick and bigoted. What else?
I thought that brexit supporters took pride in the fact that they live in and support the UK.

Kapitan Fri 29-Mar-19 19:17:36

mcem. What have I provided another example of?

Kapitan Fri 29-Mar-19 19:15:22

Why should a fashion choice, and a statement about the country the interviewee lives in lead you to conclude they are thick and bigoted? Have you considered undertaking unconscious bias training?

mcem Fri 29-Mar-19 19:03:19

And Kapitan you've provided another example!

MawBroon Fri 29-Mar-19 18:58:33

Right Kapitan
1- this is not America
2- there’s more than just England in the U.K.
Alles Klar?
