Grandad, when LP members voted 3 years ago, and when the accepted the LP manifesto 2 years ago- the UK was a very different place.

Since then- it has been proven that the vote was NOT democratic- based on massive lies, proven fraud, foreign money and interference, and illegal secret targeting of specific groups. So NO, now we know- the very close Ref. majority cannot be accepted- especially as we also know now about the Irish border disaster and the huge damage to the economy, the NHS, and so much more. There is NO option called 'cake and eat it, with unicorns on top' and you know full well that it is the poorest in society who will pay the heaviest price- job losses first and massive depletion of staffing for the NHS, etc.

We're obviously never going to, so bearing that in mind, the next best thing is Nigel, and he will get my vote!

How does anybody get past this please?

Grandad1943 Wed 01-May-19 17:07:30

Evidence to the above please Anniebach,?

Anniebach Wed 01-May-19 17:03:31

Anti semites are not even been expelled from the Labour Party,

Grandad1943 Wed 01-May-19 16:57:46

Mycatisahacker, I am confused by your post @ 16:40 today (01/05/19), as I have made no reference to anti-Semitism in the Labour party in recent days on this forum.

However, if you are interested in racism in Britains political institutions, perhaps you should also look at the Tory party where members who have been expelled for
blatant Islamophobia have been allowed to rejoin the party only a few days/weeks later.

And Still, there is not even an internal Tory party investigation into Islamophobia in the organisation.

Corbyn will promise Utopia .

When the News leads with ‘care for the elderly’ , Corbyn announces over one billion for this when he is PM ,

Last week we had the protesters in London , Corbyn demands a debate , suppose he has never listened to David
Attenborough.

Will free musical instruments for all children be in the next
Manifesto, it was in the last one

Mycatisahacker Wed 01-May-19 16:52:09

Grany

Oh dear have a lie down and a head wobble.

Jabberwok Wed 01-May-19 16:49:03

Easy to promise in opposition!!

Jabberwok Wed 01-May-19 16:48:11

My dgd is 19 and about to go to university. Had she been able to vote she too would have been taken in by 'tuition fees'
Never again! Dissolutionment in the young is very sad!

Grany Wed 01-May-19 16:46:25

Corbyn is what thousands of people need right now a real socialist leader. More people joined Labour because of Corbyn the bigest membership of all Europe Lots of younger people too have become enthused by politics and joined Labour because of Corbyn. In Europe his polices are mainstream, people there want socialism. Corbyn has called for climate emergency debate.

Mycatisahacker Wed 01-May-19 16:42:20

Exactly Annie, Jabber and lemon

Mycatisahacker Wed 01-May-19 16:40:22

Grandad1943

Your disgraceful remarks earlier render your posts ridiculous. You clearly have no concept of anti semitism.

My dd is 20 she says her friends were hoodwinked once over tuition fees by that racist never again

Anniebach Wed 01-May-19 16:30:53

Corbyn as PM. ? Can’t remember if he was part of a wreath laying ceremony to terrorists 4 years ago but can remember he was there.

Did admire an anti semetic mural but only because he didn’t look closely at it !

Did post on an anti semetic site but didn’t read the posts on it.

Wrote A foreword to an anti semetic book but wasn’t referring to the anti semetic attacks in the book .

Jabberwok Wed 01-May-19 16:30:13

Even you have to admit though student fees WAS just vote catching. Us older folk saw straight through that, but to dupe the young was pretty disgusting even for Marxists. Piers Corbyn certainly has some interesting theories - food for thought if nothing else!

Grandad1943 Wed 01-May-19 16:23:14

Jabberwok, the Labour party has not made any agreement with the people or broken any promises to them. In that, they are not in government to carry out any of the above, for that accolade is most definitely in the hands of the Tory party, and it is them that have failed so lamentably in the Brexit THEY promised this nation.

Looking at the state of the NHS, Social Services, the housing crisis, Policing and much more, they have also failed in very much more than just Brexit it would seem.

Jabberwok Wed 01-May-19 16:02:44

Democracy Grandad?!!!! Democracy works well when the powers that be agree with the people, and vice versa. When they don't, the democracy swiftly turns into treachery, broken promises, ducking and diving to get out of a given understanding! Student fees (the libdems) again, fudging student fees (labour) and by far the worst, the referendum (the torys) Just charlatans each and everyone!

lemongrove Wed 01-May-19 15:59:51

I suspect it’s not Corbyn at the heart of the ‘ let’s declare climate change an emergency’ policy but rather his ‘wonks’
Like Seamus Milne for example.
They see the ‘yoof’ vote coming their way, and yes, it’s quite blatant and cynical band wagon jumping.

Jabberwok Wed 01-May-19 15:52:25

You're right,Mycatisahacker! Tbh, I am SO completely peed off with mainstream politicians that I've got to the point where I can't even look at them, never mind listen to them! I just can't believe the double dealing, the arrogance, the stupidity, the lies, (article 50!!) and the complete awfulness of the people who are supposed to be servants of the people of this country. EU elections? We're supposed to have left the wretched place!!! We're obviously never going to, so bearing that in mind, the next best thing is Nigel, and he will get my vote!
Yes I have seen that J,C's brother has a very different stance on climate change but not read his opinions thoroughly. I am now about to do so!

Grandad1943 Wed 01-May-19 15:46:22

Well, at least the Labour Party are bringing up the subject of Climate change and their views/policies on it.

The dictatorship known as the Farage Brexit party supported by some on this forum have no views on climate change it would seem, but then they have no opinions or policies on any matter, even Brexit when it comes to the Irish border issue.

Then we have the Conservative party which is supposed to be governing the country but is so consumed over Brexit without ever coming up with any answers to that crisis, and in that, never have time to talk about climate change or much else.

So, once more it is only the Labour and Liberal parties of the major political players that have a considered policy on climate matters which was brought forward by their grassroots members at their party conferences.

Now that's real democracy.

Mycatisahacker Wed 01-May-19 15:38:01

Other emergencies!!!

Er Brexit, social care baby deaths in wales!!

Nope climate change as those who shout the loudest get listened to.

It’s shocking it really is

Mycatisahacker Wed 01-May-19 15:34:24

Well to be fair they are all jumping on the climate change band wagon.

You break the law and interrupt millions of ordinary Londoners and you get a meeting with gove!

Utterly ridiculous

GrannyGravy13 Wed 01-May-19 15:20:55

Jabberwok it's worth reading JCs brothers view on climate change and he is a scientist.

Jabberwok Wed 01-May-19 15:12:43

Corbyn is the most appalling opportunist, climate change being the latest bandwaggon he has now suddenly become a champion of!!! Why now? It's hardly a new concern! Election time? could that be the answer!!

Anniebach Wed 01-May-19 14:33:04

So no hurt can be caused by words, why do we have laws for
slander and libel ?

GabriellaG54 Wed 01-May-19 14:29:59

They are only words. How can words get you so het up and enraged?
Forget it.
