So many people now strip off when protesting that it has lost any effect. When it was first done there was the "shock" value which caused people to take notice of what was being said this is no longer the case, and in fact could harm the cause by devaluing the message

... there was a photo' of them from behind (pun, sorry) and they just all looked a bit vulnerable and a tad silly, to me.
Don't know why, but stripping off for 'the cause' always makes me groan. Do people take them seriously? It usually just causes a few sniggers and witty comments from some - but I don't really think it enhances their case, somehow.
I think it's something to do with trying to be serious when you're standing there in the 'nud'... it doesn't really work for me because the contrast with their seriousness and saggy bits (or not), I find too comical.
Perhaps I've not really grown up enough and am missing something. It does attract attention - but is it the right sort of attention?!

No surprises there lemon

It could hardly have been bettered had Bercow and Abbott stripped to their flimsies and thrown a few shapes

Ugh! Please no!! It doesn't bear (bare) thinking about GG! It's a good job I've had my dinner!

I do hope the sleazy MP who was taking photographs is named.

....and the votes are in, they voted no to everything as usual!
Knew it!

Well, it is April Fools Day after all, and in my view can only have added to the daft goings on there today where they all whizz about voting no to everything.grin

No, not the Canadian rock band but the hoe-down show-down in the commons.
Anything less than a common sight is hard to believe but they stuck to their agenda (and the glass division with glue) like true believers, with messages and elephants painted on their bodies.
One MP flouted the rules and stood taking photos whilst Speaker Bercow tried to bring order to the House by asking that the interrupted debate, continue.
In a week or more of turmoil, tantrums and turnarounds, this was the grande finale.
It could hardly have been bettered had Bercow and Abbott stripped to their flimsies and thrown a few shapes.
What's the betting that it won't be recorded in Hansard?
If I Had A Million Dollars? ... possibly winkgrin
