Storyville on BBC4 has always been one of my favourite documentary programmes and I was fascinated by their recent Toffs Queers and Traitors: The Extraordinary Life of Guy Burgess.
I remember bits of it but was too young to assimilate the content.
Our present kakistocracy seems strangely familiar.

I always enjoy listening to The Long View on R4, when Jonathon Freedland compares a current event with a past equivalent.

Tomorrow at 9.00am the programme is titled: Brexit and European Diplomacy and explores parallels between Brexit and a major dispute between King Offa of Mercia and Charlemagne, King of the Franks in the 790s.

I may well tune in to that M0nica
I much prefer talks on radio to the music programmes.
I've put a reminder sticky note on the radio. smile
