As Tony Blair failed to mention her in his 20 year anniversary of the Good Friday agreement speech I thought it might be good to acknowledge what a remarkable woman she was. That she acheived what many had said was impossible and we could do with her now.
RIP Mo. your legacy lives on.

I second that trisher...she did so much for the LP and this country

I met her at a dinner in the 1990s. We had a lovely chat. Obviously well briefed, she knew about my research and later wrote to me. She was a remarkable woman and a brave one too.

Yes, thanks for this trisher . She bought such humanity to the Good Friday Agreement.

Yes, thanks trisher. I've not heard TB's speech and I'm shocked he didn't mention Mo Mowlam. A hero of a woman.

I saw the step-daughter's story and somebody shared on facebook the story of Mo tearing off her wig in meetings and I was reminded what a special person she was.

I have not heard TB's speech either but I am not in the least surprised that he failed to mention this remarkable woman.

Mo Mowlam was a politican with morals and worked for the UK not herself.

If only there were more like her today in the H of Cs

She was indeed a remarkable woman and her empathy for people shone through.

A strong and fair woman. Mo Molam had the common touch yet possessed a fierce intellect. Her negotiating skills in respect of the Good Friday agreement cannot be under-estimated. We need more politicians with integrity and altruism in the HOC.

Blair is a complete arse.

Rest in peace Mo Molam.

What Day6 said. Sums it up perfectly for me.

She was a remarkable woman and we won't forget her, even if Blair has airbrushed her and her remarkable achievements out of history.

He lacks generosity of spirit.
