Elections? What elections?

The only literature we have received is from the Conservatives. No one has called and we haven't received the EU election polling cards yet.

Yes ok Poppyred and if we do not leave, please don't start moaning about the undemocratic, unelected EU, the one you did not exercise your democratic right to vote for!

Two lots of polling cards and as Maw says nothing else.
I couldn't name a single candidate for either election.

But Poppyred if you want some say on how the EU is run, why put your voting cards in the recycling? People moan about the undemocratic nature of the EU and then, given a chance to take part in that democratic process, they don't do so!

I think that you should vote for the person you think will be right for the job. That means Tory for the locals here.

No idea who might stand here in the GE but that might also be the Tory incumbent or it could be Change. Best of both worlds would be for her to move to change!

But, as I see it, they are different things.

Have had cards for both here, and have had to apply for a postal vote for the EU election ( if it happens) as we fly back from holiday late that day. My problem is that our local councillor is great, very energetic, very contactable, young and obviously planning to climb the greasy pole, but; he is Conservative, and I feel that by voting for him I am thus endorsing our present bone idle incumbent in his safe seat, and ultimately, Teresa May and her useless cabinet. I suspect that many hardworking local representatives, of both major parties, may suffer for the same reason.

We have had two sets of Liberal Democrat leaflets hand-delivered by local people and one Conservative leaflet sent through the post (presumably because they have plenty of money to pay for stamps but no volunteers to deliver). Nothing from any other party.

We've had no literature from anyone either. We are meant to be voting for a new mayor.
I have found out about them though, from this site.

I assume everyone gets a european election vote??????

Voting independent. No european ones yet!

We have polling cards for local and European elections. The independent in the local election has been busy on facebook but nothing from anyone else.
The facebook page of the stay in the EU group posted a list of which councillors voted against a people's vote. That settles it for me - I'll vote Lib Dem in the locals. We've had a dreadful Labour council for far too long. My fear is apathy/irritation/total fed upness will rule and the turn out will be minimal.

Had the polling card and a visit from out Labour candidate, asking if he could count on my vote. As he was the only candidate to bother going out, on a horribly wet and cold day, he may get my vote, especially as I've had no literature or leaflets from anyone else either.

Polling cards received for both, no literature at all for either, I am also in the 'why should I bother' camp

No council elections here but my eu polling card arrived today.
My DGD called to say hers has arrived - her very first opportunity to vote and she certainly will.
Then she'll be looking forward to voting before too long in 2 referenda plus a GE!

No council elections where I live, but have just got the EU voting cards for the 23rd.
No bumf on any candidates as yet though.

We're leaving the country - literally - so won't be voting. I've never not voted before.

We have had 2 leaflets from the incumbent councillor, nothing from his opponents for voting this Thursday. Just received polling cards for European elections.
The news says that people are basing their local voting on how they feel about Brexit....not surprised given the lack of literature giving us a reason to think otherwise.
