Names are coming along at a regular basis, and with May having a meeting with Brady today, it is likely that she will be persuaded to give a date of her departure.

So let’s start looking at who would make the most suitable Tory leader.

The first out of the hat is Boris Johnson.
His first hurdle is facing court to defend the charge of lying before the referendum.

Quite agree

Johno Mon 27-May-19 17:40:41

Dominic Raab is one of the best MPs in Westminster. I never support the Tory Party but I like MPs with integrity and Raab is that rare person.

Anniebach Mon 27-May-19 17:40:45

Any labour MP who speaks out publicly against Corbyn faces deselection , the talk sbout it being a Democratic Party is a load of s**t,

Did Corbyn ever face deselection ? No , because labour under
Kinnock, Smith, Blair and Brown labour was a Democratic Party, now what McClusky says goes.

Corbyn has always admired dictators and is following them

When was there ever any allegation of racism before Corbyn ?

jura2 Mon 27-May-19 17:44:52

'So Thornberry or Starmer ?'

... interesting, as the title is 'Next Tory Leader'?!?

Grany Mon 27-May-19 17:45:38

I think Corbyn will make a very fine leader he is a socialist through and through. Thousands have joined Labour because of him. People need a new government with a new direction and new polices and an end austerity that millions have suffered under.

Schools will have climate change in their curriculum isn't that fantastic children will grow up being more aware of the environment. Plus many more good polices from Labour.

lemongrove Mon 27-May-19 17:55:53

hmm

Mycatisahacker Mon 27-May-19 18:18:14

Deluded

Mycatisahacker Mon 27-May-19 18:28:11

Perhaps the same children can study the rise in anti semitism too and how it festers when allowed to continue

Anniebach Mon 27-May-19 18:37:40

Climate change in their curriculum, Corbyn must have watched the demonstration on tv and thought, more votes there.

If there was a demo for nudism he would want healthy life style of nudism on the curriculum.

Urmstongran Mon 27-May-19 18:45:35

Johno i agree ??

jura2 doncha just luurve how these threads morph hehe!

Urmstongran Mon 27-May-19 18:47:16

Mycatisahacker Mon 27-May-19 18:54:12

gringrin

M0nica Mon 27-May-19 21:06:25

Just picked up Corbyn is a crafty old fox He isn't capable of it. He is just a nasty little man, the kind who will tread on your toe because he knows you have corns.

Beammeupscottie Mon 27-May-19 21:18:55

Oh come on. To suggest craftiness or evil is to suggest he is clever. He is not. He is just a little anarchic back bencher who has a certain popular appeal with the young, which has been harnessed by Momentum to hopefully win an election! When that appeal wanes, he will be dumped.

Beammeupscottie Mon 27-May-19 21:23:07

The Tories need to pick a leader who can be quickly discarded when they lose the next Election. Keep your best Man/Woman for regrouping and working your way back.

Anniebach Mon 27-May-19 21:26:21

He lies, who can forget the

‘sitting on the floor of the train’

‘I was at the wreath laying Memorial but I don’t know if I
was involved’

‘Yes the wall mural was anti semetic,I didn’t look closely ‘

‘I have never met a member of the IRA’ , he shared a platform with them and how the hell could he go to a memorial service for an IRA member and expect us to believe there were no IRA. Members there ,n

Shame on anyone who defends this man

Mycatisahacker Mon 27-May-19 21:28:12

yes he’s that crafty and Wiley he planned the terrible election results.

wink

Anniebach Mon 27-May-19 21:39:02

There is crafty and there is sly

M0nica Mon 27-May-19 21:41:22

..and there is stupid. As Annie's post shows.

Ginny42 Mon 27-May-19 22:00:50

I see Sajid Javid has now declared he's standing for Tory leadership and hence PM. It's becoming a crowded field of aspiring leaders. People were wondering who would want to inherit the poisoned chalice of Brexit. Quite a few it seems.

Ants and Dec next?

GracesGranMK3 Mon 27-May-19 22:13:26

Don't you dare use your own prejudice to tell people what they may and may not think of another person, Anniebach. Just like the worst of gossips going round spreading malignant bile we have to put up with your constant comments and threads but this will never, ever, give you the right to set yourself up as anyone else's moral compass.

lemongrove Mon 27-May-19 22:23:19

grin
Well, there is certainly some malignant bile going on, but not by Annie

Ginny I think no matter how difficult circumstances are, there are always plenty of volunteers to take on the job of PM.Ant and Dec, now there’s an idea.??

Anniebach Mon 27-May-19 22:24:09

Truth is truth, all I have said of that man is true and on record, everyone is free to choose their moral compass, I choose to abhor racism and hypocrisy.

GracesGranMK3 Mon 27-May-19 22:43:55

Interesting that you say you abhor hypocrisy AB

Anniebach Mon 27-May-19 22:54:30

When did I tell you or ask you to agree with my views on racism, it’s your choice. Carry on supporting him, your choice and my choice not to.
