What is deeply worrying is that the Tories will never be able to form a united government because they are so catastrophically divided. I think there is a very high risk that if a hard brexiter gets the leadership, that there will be further chaos as we slid towards Halloween. A further extension is inevitable unless the hard brexiters are not worried about a civil war as the try to shut down democracy through prorogation. I hope the Queen tells them where to stick their attempt at anarchy.

There is an interesting thread on Mumsnet where the OP sets out her likely scenario of how our politics might pan out in the near future. Much of it seems to me to be all too credible, but who knows? What do you think?
