It's happening NHS privatisation

Daisymae Wed 19-Jun-19 15:03:39

Interesting. Coincides with news that local schools are making staff redundant because they cannot make the books balance. Time for a change.

Grany Wed 19-Jun-19 15:18:50

Agree with you time for change and I know who I will vote for always been Labour and even more enthused by politics and and Labour Party since real traditional Socialism came back again.

Day6 Wed 19-Jun-19 15:24:59

Think I'll leave Left wingers to get on with their Tory bashing thread and instead think about just how wonderful the UK will be when we have a Marxist government led by Jeremy Corbyn.

What is more worrying than anything imo is that should we oust the Conservatives, the only alternative is the hard left, driven by Momentum.

Politics is in a sorry state.

Grany Wed 19-Jun-19 15:40:22

The only sorry state is the Vile Tories and how they have made a mess of running this country.

And a certain few thousand membership would still vote for them, unbelievable.

Day6 Wed 19-Jun-19 15:52:21

But you do appreciate that others find it unbelievable that people have faith in Corbyn and Labour, don't you Grany?

If there were a GE next week, the Conservatives would lose and we'd have Corbyn in number ten. I'd put money on that.

The Conservatives are washed up because of dreadful Brexit negotiations, a policy of "Leave means remain" which has taken us to a stalemate. May's successor will suffer the same fate - being deemed useless unless we make progress with leaving the EU.

In fact, whether it's BJ or Gove or anyone else, they too get the poisoned chalice of negotiating Brexit.

Jeremy Corbyn would have been similarly tested and reviled if he'd had the task.

As for a Labour government to replace the one we have? For many, many people in the UK that is an horrific prospect. You seem to imagine everything, every problem the UK faces, will be sorted out because hard left Labour are in charge.

Not everyone shares your left wing faith.

Anniebach Wed 19-Jun-19 16:05:37

A certain few thousand members will vote for them ? Many more than a few thousand of the voting public will vote for them.

Grany Wed 19-Jun-19 16:16:05

The Tories are washed up not only because of their handling of Brexit but ideological austerity that was not nessessary and caused untold amounts of suffering. Did you watch the video I posted?

People want change and the don't want our NHS sold off it's already happening at an alarming rate dint you know. Only Labour are committed to saving our very precious NHS

Grany Wed 19-Jun-19 16:21:10

Anniebach Yes you are right there, more than just the membership but people are beginning to see the damage unnessary Austerity has inflicted on our country they are a failed government.

EllanVannin Wed 19-Jun-19 16:21:43

It will serve a lot of people right if we do have a Marxist government------they won't know what's hit them.

Grany Wed 19-Jun-19 16:24:20

EllanVannin It will be far better than the poor excuse of a government we got now.

MaizieD Wed 19-Jun-19 16:26:15

I'd really like to know just what a Labour government would do to trash the UK. Could someone explain, without ranting about Marxism or anti-Semitism? They had a perfectly reasonable manifesto for the last GE.

They'd be really hard put to do worse than the tory's last decade.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 19-Jun-19 16:26:49

Marxist governmemt????you all sound like Gove, and he sounds very odd.

Grany Wed 19-Jun-19 16:37:43

Whitewavemark2
Yes I thought Gove sounded very odd He says Jeremy Corbyn is frightened of him Ha Ha I don't think so

Grany Wed 19-Jun-19 16:47:56

Well Said MaizieD

EllanVannin Wed 19-Jun-19 16:55:13

Very true Grany.

paddyann Wed 19-Jun-19 16:57:16

how ridiculous some of you are "FAR LEFT ,MARXISM" your eductaion is obviously sadly lacking Corbyn is as far removed from Communism/marxism as Tony Blair was....hes a very poor socialist .He has spent his time as leader backing everything the tories put through either by actually backing it or by abstention...hardly far left ,otehrwise he'd have seen them off before now.Tories can breathe easily Corbyn is tory light ...you'll be fine under his government its the people he's SUPPOSED to be representing that wont be !

Grany Thu 20-Jun-19 08:33:30

paddyann Jeremy Corbyn made May do lots of U turns so did not back her. You got that wrong about Blair he is Tory lite in the pockets of Murdock. Jeremy Corbyn is very much a socialist who can't be bought. The Murdock billionaire press along with all the other right wing papers will not say a good word for Corbyn or Labour instead they lie and smear him propaganda not real journalism. Lots of people read these papers and believe what they read hence the Labour Party have a fight on their hands to be heard. Good for social media where people can find the truth that's why lots of younger people enthused by Labour politics have joined the party in their thousands.

Anniebach Thu 20-Jun-19 09:17:04

Grany much which has been written about Corbyn has been true, quotes of things he has said etc

EllanVannin Thu 20-Jun-19 09:20:57

Do you know what ? We need a leader who recognises that we have a North West on the map ! People here are sick and tired of forever listening/seeing that the South/South East and surrounding areas continually have the lion's share of whatever investment is in the offing.

The divide is getting wider and it's totally unfair. Before long, I'll be writing a stiff letter to whichever pleb is chosen to lead the country-----into yet more disaster I suspect, to say how utterly disgusted I am.

Why do the medical staff ( who all do the same job ) get paid more in the South than the North ? This is rank inequality so it's high time that the economics of this country was headed by someone who knew what they were doing and not half the job that's been done to one half of the country.

We have also taken in the most " refugees " yet no extra funding has been coming forthwith.

Grany Thu 20-Jun-19 10:34:06

Anniebach Much of what is written is misquoted, taken out of context, misleading lies and smears. I see Mr Corbyn as an honest trustworthy man who has campaigned against racism all his life and won two peace awards that's why I am a member of the Labour Party.

Labour's polices are transformative nationalising the railways energy grid Royal Mail 10 water companies and many over 100 other worthy polices Plus saving our NHS from privatisation plans for dealing with climate change. You believe what you want, vote for who you want. I know who I am voting for.

Grany Thu 20-Jun-19 10:38:02

EllanVannin Jeremy Corbyn has argued much more should be done for the North the North South Divide on PMQ
