I see that Canada is refusing to “roll over” its trade deal to allow the U.K. to use it post Brexit. Apparently officials in the U.K. are furious??. Honestly where have these people been? Any thinking person could have told them it was never going to be a goer.

The chancellor has said that the £26bn “headroom” - in practice borrowing - will have to be joined by at least a further £90bn if there is no deal. The U.K. will shrink to being unrecognisable.

I think that's the whole point really. We were asked to vote on this without anyone having a clear plan of what it would actually mean. Probably because.....certain folks really really though the result would be different.

No idea, and beyond caring.

As confirmed by Dutch Senior MEP Sophie in t'Veld-

'there can't be any further negotiations- and anyhow, it is impossible to negotiate with people who do not know what they want'
eg which Brexit? as there are so many options depending who is talking.

And it is for sure, there will be no 'pick and mix, cake and eat it, with unicorns on top' - not now, not never- it just can't be. Not for Corbyn, not for Boris and not for Hunt - no more than there was for Mrs May. She knew that - and anyone with half a brain knows that. She did get the best deal possible...

It is easy to verify the above on the internet.

Robin Tilbrook case 'we've already the EU' has been filed to court on time.

Will be interesting to see how much publicity this gets.

Gina Millers case against us leaving the EU was spread across all media.

* I am pretty sure by the majority of Conservatives- and pretty sure too that labour will, AT LAST, unite against it*

I think you are optimistic Jura.

My view is that both parties know The Brexit Party is waiting in the wings for a GE. If we have any more shilly-shallying from our politicians (a failure to act decisively) then I think both Labour and the Conservatives are toast, and will be for a long time.

Right now, the competition to become PM has taken the heat of the Brexit impasse but once the new PM is installed, he will feel the pressure to make Brexit happen. A No Deal is now one of the options. The EU will not enter into further negotiations (I think Brussels made that quite clear) so July, August, September and October are going to be interesting months - and we will see which MPs have the courage of their convictions. There is a lot at stake for all of them.

I'd wager May will be as obstructive as possible in her voting too. grin I wonder if she'll conveniently forget she coined the "Leave Means Leave" slogan?

There is, NO legitimacy for No Deal, none.
And if Boris tries, he will have more than a revolt by Parliament, but a revolt of the people. I am pretty sure by the majority of Conservatives- and pretty sure too that labour will, AT LAST, unite against it.

So, not only are both main parties massively divided- Leavers are insisting we Leave- and yet are totally divided on how to do so- and range from the 'sublime to the ridiculous' ...(well, sublime in a manner of speech).

Whatever thay may now say, No Deal was never ever on the cards during the campaign.

I've come across people on Facebook saying "We left on March 29th, get used to it." I'm not sure what they think leaving involved or what parallel universe they are living in.

Games?

the 48% (probably much less now- let's leave it aside (no pun intended) ... are themselves totally divided between the many options Femi describes. Some still hope Mrs May's Deal will get through at the last minute- and others will accept nothing less than No Deal - and others anything in between.

Who knows.

I'm going to suggest we have a separate 'Games' thread and a separate 'Brexit' thread.grin

This young man is so right. Leave can mean anything - from Mrs May's Deal and No Deal, and so many things in between. Any of the options will please some of the Leavers, and infuriate or worse, some of the others
