The epitome of cocky I was frankly disgusted by his behaviour outside Leeds Crown Court.
He is an obnoxious individual who seems to think he is above the law.
Beneath contempt more like.

Whilst not having any truck with Tommy Robinson’s ideas which are certainly not mine ( or anything like it) I am appalled by some of the comments on here to individual posters ( Johno especially) as he comments on many threads on GN not just this one.He also manages to be civil to those he disagrees with.

Johno Mon 08-Jul-19 11:51:58

EllanVannin.. Not so this is absolutely not permitted and is, in fact, a criminal offence of incitement to commit violence. And in fact before the laws on HAte Speech took hold. We have always had laws, on the criminal offence of incitement to commit violence. Are you really saying that SPITTING, with intent on a person is permitted? In fact, it is assault and battery. An arrestable offence. Also if you spit on a person and you know you have HIV and this is transmitted with intent and the victim gets HIV and dies... you commit the offence of MURDER.

EllanVannin Mon 08-Jul-19 11:51:40

You either believe in freedom of speech and accept it or you don't-----this is my argument.

Johno Mon 08-Jul-19 11:47:08

Jaylucy.. Tommy received threats his wife and children will be killed.. has actually has texts and mobile phone records of said threats, he handed them into the police, they did nothing. So he changed his name to stop them from finding his address etc. So regardless, I find this action absolutely rational and right and brave. D you want a very, very long list of people who use aliases because there are thousands in the public domain. Piers Morgan lambasted Tommy on live TV for using a fake name?? well guess what?? Piers Morgan is NOT his real name. So what do you say about that? THis stuff is laughable and pathetic. I truly wish people would step aside from the spoonfed MSM crap.

EllanVannin Mon 08-Jul-19 11:44:35

Johno, you too have to appreciate that what the Muslims were shouting was allowed under our " freedom of speech " in this country ? Yes ?

jura2 Mon 08-Jul-19 11:41:27

Incitment to violence and sheer racism à la Robinson and co, are not 'opinions'.

suziewoozie Mon 08-Jul-19 11:40:34

Here’s her Wiki entry - note her comments about fake news. Did you take that screenshot yourself from her Wiki Page - I’m struggling with that

Sooziewoozie - Let me explain how/why the EDL was founded. But first please understand that what I say is 100% fact and easily proven. I am not an ideologue. I worship Muhammad Ali the great boxer but I would drop him like a lead balloon if some revelation was shown of a despicable nature. OK so to the first point:
(1) I would guess most using this site support our military?
(2) I would guess most using this site oppose violence and incitement to violence.
(3) I would guess most using this site support the right to freedom of expression?/
So I will now tell you why the EDL was formed;
A few years ago our troops returned from battle and held a march past parade through Luton Town. The Royal Anglian Regiment.
While they were marching a group of Muslims stood on a corner shouting "murderers" - "you will pay" at our troops. They also SPAT on our troops, shouting "DEATH TO THE BRITISH MURDERERS". Holding placards saying same.
AT the same time a young man called Tommy Robinson was watching this with his friends. He was so disgusted at this he shouted back at the Muslims to stop being so disgusting. Then what happened....??? THE POLICE (in uniform) warned Mr Yaxley Lennon to shut up. Mr YL was so shocked the police permitted the Muslims to act as they did yet warned him he will be arrested, he became more vocal and was forcibly moved. ... Now for the EDL... Mr YL was so disgusted at our police siding with violent thug Muslims he started a pressure group which backed teh British way of life via the very troops who symbolise our way of life. He called it THE ENGLISH DEFENCE LEAGUE. Thats it, as simple as that. There is no other version this is the truth 100%. It is all on YouTube. Filmed as it happened. While I am at it.. Mr Yaxley-Lennon changed his name to Tommy Robinson because his wife and children were threatened with death by these same Muslims, so he changed his name to protect them (address etc). He also left the EDL at the very start that any racist, xenophobic hate people raised there heads above the parapet. Tommy immediately left the EDL.

Granny can you give me her official Twitter page address ? Re Wiki I’ve just looked at her Wiki entry - it doesn’t look like that.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 08-Jul-19 11:33:09

Suziewoozie it is a screen shot of her wiki page, but if you go to her official twitter page(blue tick verified) you can find her comments.

Caam down, caam down Johno----as they say in Liverpool.

I can see the argument from both sides fortunately and it's a pity nobody else can. If there wasn't such fanaticism about certain subjects they might be worth listening to.

Also the farcical freedom of expression only seems to exist in a one-track argument ? Surely that's not cricket is it ?

suziewoozie Mon 08-Jul-19 11:23:08

Johno my understanding is that nothing happens unless you report a post so it looks like you’re hoisted by your own free speech petard

jaylucy Mon 08-Jul-19 11:21:37

What gets me is that Tommy Robinson is not even this man's real name so he is hiding behind a persona.
He seems to think he is above the law, but stays just inside it so that really, beyond a fine and a possible short term jail spell he is untoucheable. Just wish he'd go away .

This is my screen shot of the official twitter page of FOOC

Johno Mon 08-Jul-19 11:13:50

Apologies to those it seems I have not replied to specific points or claims. The fact is I do NOT grasp the procedure of the site for responding directly to users. I click on a thread and can not see how it links to a person. That said; I will reply in the next box but I dont know how to inform the person I have replied and respected their request. So I rather feel it a tad disingenuous to presume I have bottled it or backed down or dont know. I simply find the posting procedure hard to follow.

suziewoozie Mon 08-Jul-19 11:13:02

Johno just report any posts you think are breaking guidelines.
Beckett - that image is not from a wiki page. Meanwhile Twitter have now removed the spoof account.

Well, if it is on Wikipedia it must be true!!! I am sure you are aware that anyone can alter a wikipedia entry

suziewoozie Mon 08-Jul-19 11:01:55

Sorry GrannyGravy I don’t understand your post - what was taken from her Wiki Page?

GrannyGravy13 Mon 08-Jul-19 10:57:37

Taken from her wikipedia page, complete with “twitter blue tick”

Chris Packham campaigned against the killing of what are classed as pest birds, crows, woodpigeons etc. which resulted in the revoking of licences to do this. So some people are calling for him to be sacked from BBC

suziewoozie Mon 08-Jul-19 10:48:22

Ellan it’s something to do with killing crows or rather not killing crows. It’s a true story by the way in case you’re wonderimg

suziewoozie Mon 08-Jul-19 10:45:05

It’s my ‘phrase du jour’. I just wish people would just think for a moment before believing something just because they want it to be true. I mean Kate Adie, Kate Adie, Kate Adie tweeting that? Especially our generation who actually know who she is and what an amazing distinguished career as a journalist she’s had. Remember when journalists were journalists?

EllanVannin Mon 08-Jul-19 10:43:35

What's poor Chris Packham done ?
