Living up to his name Boris (The Buffoon) Johnson appoints Jacob Rees Mogg as Leader of the House Of Commons. Undoubtedly, this is supposed to inspire us all to believe that Brexit will be an unparalleled economic success, and yet Mogg advises the client's of his investment trust to move their funds to Dublin as that EU Nation will hold more financial stability following Brexit.

Jacob Rees Mogg has also stated that it may take Fifty years for the benefits of Britain leaving Europe to been seen in the United Kingdom economy, and in that he believes his fanatical brexit judgments will be proven to all.

As I have stated earlier in this thread, I believe that Boris Johnson should be given a chance to see what he can accomplish in getting Britain out of the Brexit shambles, that he had a large hand in creating. However, the appointment of Rees Mogg as Leader of the House does demonstrate I feel that his already poor judgment has deteriorated rather than improved with becoming Prime Minister.

Jacob Rees Mogg is nothing short of a total Brexit joke.

All I said when it was announced (not a surprise) was God Help Us! A man who is a baffoon, can't answer a question, lies through his back teeth and is an embarrassment to the country. No wonder Trump likes him, two of a kind.

Not all remainers are elites and not all elites are remainers, so not sure who “the elites” are . Just one of those meaningless soundbites.

I think jura means us poor people. Those who don’t have a portfolio of shares to cushion the economic blow that Brexit will (maybe, possibly, might, could) hit us with.

So many Remainers bang on saying ‘they didn’t vote to be poorer’. Punters on Sky News (the glum buckets anyway) say it all the time. But actually we sort of did. We poorer ones had almost nothing to lose anyway. The Project Fear on Steroids at the time of the referendum brought out so many experts who told us there’d be an immediate recession, sterling would tank, job losses would be huge, each person in the U.K. would personally ‘lose’ £5,000 - yet we STILL voted Leave!

No wonder it was such a seismic shock to the elites

He's STILL talking about the election and doing "campaign" rallies 2 and a half years later for heaven's sake. Yes, he speaks his mind, but even in that regard, he's a hypocrite. To be clear, I disagree with his politics, but I respect many people with divergent views. 99.9% of my dislike of him has to do with him as a person.

Stella, I know about actually living in a marxist country from my family, who were forced labour in russia, They hated communism with a vengeance, try the practicality before spouting theory. It was a vile regime, they actually lived in it, not reading about it from a book. It caused so much damage to every family, except the rich at the top who still benefit today

All the indications show clearly, that those who voted 'Leave' will be the very ones to suffer the most.

I voted for Boris and I am pleased he won. The majority voted to leave the EU, let's hope Boris can deliver on his promise and get us out, it's probably the remainers who are mad that he was elected.

I understand why some posters have expressed hope that he may turn out to be a satisfactory or even good Prime Minister, have suggested that everyone should wait and see and that he should be given a chance. I would point out that his track record as the Mayor of London and then as Foreign Secretary is rather less than glorious. He seems to be a serial epitome of the Peter Principle.

Boris peddles optimism whilst secretly conferring with the ERG and wondering if he can manage to keep the public fooled while he quietly slips into a no-deal Brexit, opens up the NHS to Trump and the US and feeds the poor GM food and US chlorinated chicken. But hey he's such a funny chap!
