Boris and Cambridge Analytica

he was asked in the HoC yesterday 'why did you visit Cambridge Analytica in 2016?' and his reply was 'I don't know' and sat down.

Can he just be let off answering such a massively important question. His answer was hugely rude, dismissive and arrogant - but surely, and much more importantly, refusing to answer for his actions. We all now know the rôle Cambridge Analytica played in the campaign - and he has even appointed Cummings as Chief Advisor.

This is seriously concerning. What is the HoC's rules re different MPs asking the same question? It needs asking, every day, every session- until he gives an answer.

Oh me too - I feel utterly fed up and dragged down by the whole thing. I don’t remember politics ever being such an integral part of our lives or so divisive - or maybe it was and I just didn’t notice so much confused I blame social media - everyone seems to be so angry all the time

GrannyGravy13 Sat 27-Jul-19 12:49:21

No I am enjoying this more.......life’s to short. I am finding myself less interested in politics by the day!!!!

SirChenjin Sat 27-Jul-19 12:31:24

Can you imagine?! I’d definitely move there too! Their profits would sky rocket with everyone signing up for loans after one too many gins and in years to come it will be known as the GGI (great gin insurance) scandal with banks having to repay missold policies ?????????

Shall we return to CA and big data?

GrannyGravy13 Sat 27-Jul-19 12:21:08

If the Bank of Scotland serves drinks, I am going to change who I bank with pronto ??????

lemongrove Sat 27-Jul-19 12:19:24

Not to you MaizieD ( obviously.)

Does The Bank Of Scotland serve drinks now SirC ?
What a wonderful idea, hope it catches on here( I was just going to get some cash out, but am happy to stay for a rhubarb gin.)??

SirChenjin Sat 27-Jul-19 12:15:37

In your opinion, you know.

MaizieD Sat 27-Jul-19 12:12:36

It’s much more interesting though.

It really, really isn't, you know.

jura2 Sat 27-Jul-19 12:08:27

not a scouser then SirC? lol

SirChenjin Sat 27-Jul-19 12:07:19

How did we get from CA to this?! confused It’s much more interesting though.

SirChenjin Sat 27-Jul-19 12:06:13

Ahh, but it’s not a lake because we don’t call lochs lakes up here, just as you don’t call your lakes lochs. Took me a while to get used to it when I moved up here and learning how to say the och bit rather than ock

See you at the Bank then - and remember to take your haggis spray with you and have a rhubarb and ginger gin waiting for me please!

jura2 Sat 27-Jul-19 12:05:45

Where the heck is Loch Lomand?

Been to the Trossachs and it is indeed a beautiful place - but there is no Loch Lomand anywhere

lemongrove Sat 27-Jul-19 12:02:19

( couldn’t find a haggis emoji, a thistle will have to do, and it looks pretty aggressive)?

lemongrove Sat 27-Jul-19 12:00:39

Well SirC...it is a lake after all, and I did call it Loch Lomand not Lake Lomand......tell you what, I’ll take the high road (faster) you take the low road (slower but less traffic)
And we will meet in the first bonny bank we come to,( Bank of Scotland) if that suits you?
Just a warning, on the quiet low road there are herds of roaming haggis, they have young at this time of year and can be aggressive!)thistle

paddyann Sat 27-Jul-19 11:14:20

I remember trailing round after a crowd of American tourists here looking for their roots and seeing the places their families had come from...it was bicentennial year .Standing on the shore of the Loch at Luss I was talking to one of them while my other half photographed groups .."I've seen your lock he said and your heather covered hills ..but what and where will I find these Bonnie Banks in the Lock Lomond Song"

SirChenjin Sat 27-Jul-19 11:05:17

Lake?? shock

You wash your mouth out - Loch Lomond is a loch. The clue is in the name. Lake indeed <mutter mutter>

lemongrove Sat 27-Jul-19 11:02:58

Loch Lomand is my favourite lake btw and I always take the high road there.

lemongrove Sat 27-Jul-19 11:01:33

I have just been on the blower to the Palace, they were most helpful.......tcrgrin

MawBroonsback Sat 27-Jul-19 10:50:21

I have always understood that “Nessie” was female, Jura but Loch Ness is a place and two words (as is the gin)

MawBroonsback Sat 27-Jul-19 10:46:03

So not this then?

You can of course do all the accents (for lots of languages) on a standard iPad keyboard.
à á å ã â ä æ etc

jura2 Sat 27-Jul-19 10:43:43

well no - but we have those wonderful accented à, ä and è, é, ü, ö and ç - much more useful ;)

jura2 Sat 27-Jul-19 10:41:15

let's call him Nessie for short then Maw. Anyhow, glad you found it - great stuff, great people too.

MawBroonsback Sat 27-Jul-19 10:40:54

Well you have dispensed with royalty haven’t you?
Do French keyboards really not have square brackets?

jura2 Sat 27-Jul-19 10:39:29

some os us furiners do not have square brackets on our keyboards either

lemongrove Sat 27-Jul-19 10:27:41

Yep, you need Maws regal connections.?

lemongrove Sat 27-Jul-19 10:26:47

Although crown works .....crown in brackets.
