Reading on the BBC News page that Harry is less popular since booking up with Megan. I thought I liked Megan and that she would be a calming influence but now I think she’s influencing him to a ridiculous degree and they are both behaving like Hollywood divas. What are your thoughts?

And to bring it back to the OP, I am guessing that they are less popular than they were, but I do not know how popular they were or how popularity is gauged.

Read it again Annie.

Anniebach Thu 15-Aug-19 19:19:57

no Bridgeit you are not speaking for yourself ,if you were you would say ‘i’, not ‘we’

Bridgeit Thu 15-Aug-19 19:13:08

Surely we all are be doing that.( speaking for ourselves)
Are you posting on behalf of someone who is not you ??!!!

SirChenjin Thu 15-Aug-19 14:57:39

Bridgeit - speak only for yourself.

Anniebach Thu 15-Aug-19 14:52:45

So don’t criticise the Windsors it’s being judgemental, criticise fellow posters instead

Bridgeit Thu 15-Aug-19 14:39:38

Yes you do, we all do even if we are not aware of it and think we are being non judgmental ,we are non judgmental of our own judgmentality.
In other words a sum of our parts, but it doesn’t mean we cannot learn & or adapt.

SirChenjin Thu 15-Aug-19 12:41:48

No we don't Bridgeit - you can't purport to speak for everyone.

RosieLeah Thu 15-Aug-19 11:03:07

Anniebach,,,,any excuse to have a dig!

Bridgeit Thu 15-Aug-19 10:38:04

And again , we ALL moralise.

varian Thu 15-Aug-19 10:09:37

I think Harry was popular because he seems to have a likeable personality, people remembered the poor little boy who walked behind his mother's coffin, and when he was in the army, he appeared to have a "proper job"

Now he does not seem to do anything like a "proper job". I expect he does a certain amount in relation to some charities, but all the publicity he gets highlights the uneasy relationship between trying to promote saving the planet and leading an extremely extravagant lifestyle involving private jets, helicopters, luxury yachts and holidays.

He need to find some sort of "proper job", be seen to be working most of the time and cut back on conspicuous consumption.

SirChenjin Thu 15-Aug-19 10:00:38

I've never said they wouldn't because I don't moralise.

Bridgeit Thu 15-Aug-19 09:59:20

But we are , YOU & I are using computers / people are starving. If you give up your computer they still will be.
If the rich don’t fly they still will be , but many computers users and plain fliers DO help others , WE ARE ALL HYPOCRITES

SirChenjin Thu 15-Aug-19 09:56:12

The difference Bridgeit is that most of us (I would imagine) don't preach to environmental conferences while flying about in our private jets - we tend to get on with our lives without moralising to our public whilst enjoying tax payer funded privileged lives.

Of course I'm only speculating - maybe others on here do live like that.

Bridgeit Thu 15-Aug-19 09:54:00

SirC, you are not Claiming to be without sin, but we are all guilty of being better off than many many others, even by the fact that we are communicating on computers.
There are children still starving in the world, if we gave up all we had there still would be , it may not be right to fly round in an expensive plane , but it does not take away any good thing a plane flier may have done or do, JUST LIKE the rest of us. I understand people not liking the young Royals , but they like many other wealthy people do, do their bit .

Anniebach Thu 15-Aug-19 09:51:46

Really RosieLeah ? As you are doing ?

Bridgeit Thu 15-Aug-19 09:48:32

If any of us is better off than another, but does not give up All of what we have to help others or if we live a more privileged life but are not prepared to give All of that up to help others then we are No different to those that we criticise.

SirChenjin Thu 15-Aug-19 09:42:21

How does giving my opinion on the behaviour of H&M translate to my claiming I am without sin? confused

RosieLeah Thu 15-Aug-19 09:42:08

People are very quick to find fault with others, while ignoring their own.

Bridgeit Thu 15-Aug-19 09:40:55

How would you know?

Anniebach Thu 15-Aug-19 09:25:20

Same with me merlot

merlotgran Thu 15-Aug-19 09:23:35

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

I can honestly say that hypocrisy has never been one of mine.

Anniebach Thu 15-Aug-19 09:20:22

Bridgeit opinions are not gossip

Bridgeit Thu 15-Aug-19 09:16:29

Annibach, ref Gossip, just imagine Les Dawson, arms folded lip pouting etc, MM is just the latest target.
GNett sometimes reminds me of the village I grew up in & couldn’t wait to leave.
Ohh & for anyone who of a religious leaning, remember ,
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

Anniebach Thu 15-Aug-19 08:25:30
