Very very sad. A very gutsy lady and I loved them both I the. Child of our Time programme. It doesn’t say how he died but she must be devastated

Very sad and such a brave woman. I also read that she was abandoned as a baby.

Yes, we feel really sad about this. She is an amazing lady and did so well bringing up Parys. We watched ‘Child of Our Time’ avidly as our eldest granddaughter was born in 2000.

When we were in Venice a few years ago her statue was outside a building on the grand canal. A wonderful tribute to a brave and gutsy lady.
Very sad news about her son who was one of the babies born in the millennium followed for an ongoing tv programme.

Such a brave woman, abandoned as a child herself I believe. Overcame amazing odds to achieve a first class honours degree and become a mother, no mean feat under the circumstances. I'm gutted for her.

disabled artist's son dies

She was so brave the way she looked after him, and he was so good with her. They were both amazing.
